get a mark sheet out...

Dialogue delivery 8/10

screen presence 8/10

Expressions 9/10

Someone less successful and less fortunate than us may be cribbing that we do not deserve what we have......it is ...what it is...as long as you are not stepping on someone else to be successful ...no need for any guilt.

I’m saying people can get formal qualifications in any art form..does that mean they “deserve” opportunities?

You mentioned who decides what qualifications, and I said that folks that work in Hollywood are required certain skills/degree before they are even considered for positions. Two of my best friends with immense talent went to Juliard, but they didn’t get opportunities bc there were others more qualified. Bollywood doesn’t have an equal opportunity.

I'm claiming that corruption can't happen without nepotism specifically during college admissions. No need to open history books for that. And anyway, nepotism can get a talentless kid admission in a prestigious college. So what's your point anyway?

As for the claim that parents should cuf their children lose once they reach adulthood, once again, laws of universe prove you wrong. Nor are sane parents going to be fool enough to listen to that gem of an advice. smiley36

Laws of universe? Nope, that law is made by humans. Even animals don't care about their off-spring after a certain point of time. Maybe they will not, but I'll not stop saying that it's wrong. No matter how much it irks them.

Why would I stop anyone from repeating otherwise and making a fool of themselves? Thathastu.

Good, because even if you try, you can't. And if you think that I'm a fool, then why are you arguing with me?

Of course anyone can judge. Beauty and curse of a free society. Silly outsiders AND insiders will get judged smiley36.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

If people don't want to watch, they won't. There are many options now.

Kangana obsession?smiley36 Wasn't the OP on Kangana? Who else would we then talk about?

I'm not OP, and our debate had nothing to do with Kangana. We talked about lot of things but nothing was about Kangana. And you are obsessed with Kangana. Laughing emoji doesn't hide it.

On my part, I find her cheap entertainment. Like reading advice columns. But you can only tolerate this much amount before it makes you sick. I think she's making more people sick now than not.

Oh sure she is. Looking at you. Constantly mentioning her.

I would love to see someone like you run a prestigious college without those admissions? 😆 You could take a look at how Harvard runs. Sure there are many, many nepo admits. Guess what? Their daddies pay for the facilities where the talented scientists from poor backgrounds learn. You think it's all from American government?

If you're arguing for socialism, it has never worked in any part of the world. Because once you start forced equalization, people who can contribute more (those nepo daddies) will stop contributing. The downward spiral starts. Re: Venezuela.

Your talented kids? They'll be the ones who suffer the most.

Yeah, it is pretty much a universal thing that you support your own more. Or we wouldn't be organizing into families, tribes countries. Lion prides, elephant herds, bird flocks.

@Bold. Who's denying I love talking about her? I do. It IS free entertainment. Better entertainment than her movies anyway😆

What qualification did Julia Robert's niece Emma Roberts had to get placed in a prime time soap for kids...and what  qualification did Will Smith's son have to get cast in a movie....I can give you more examples of nepotism in HW if you want.

Netflix India’s development head is a nepo kid who only gives projects to nepo kids. How’s that producer money? She’s literally the gatekeeper.

One of my batch mate from school is such a kid. Her daddy brought her a seat in a private medical college. She has not still managed to clear PG exam and rest of her batch mates have moved to super specialization after MD and MS.

😆 I just looked up Manu.

The Manusmṛiti, also spelled as Manusmruti, is an ancient legal text among the many Dharmaśāstras of Hinduism.

Classism exists across the board though—it’s not oriented to a particular religion. So I respectfully disagree with this analogy.

What’s undeniable though, is that classism/elitism is something to condemn, not actively encourage and support. That’s where so many people are losing their credibility—by defending an obvious societal evil day and night.

If Kangana’s political dog whistles blind people with pure rage, how do the same bunch of people turn around and pretend to separate art from the artist when it comes to these classist Bollywood nepotism bimbos? Why can’t the same be applied to Kangana? That’s a rhetorical question.

It’s also been proven time and again that Bollywood is just one big brothel with people in each other’s pants. Thanks to Tanushree for the perfect description. So why single out one person and pretend like that’s where all the problems begin and end? Again, a rhetorical question.

Is Kangana’s political dog whistles worse than Bollywood perverts and frauds and a million of crimes that have been committed by people like Salman, Pancholi, and all those A-listers with questionable character? Is the obvious abuse of women that happens in the name of “casting couch,” misogyny and sexism that is so deeply seated in the heart of Bollywood better than and worth defending because Kangana tweets whatever she wants? The obvious lobbying and slandering people to kill off competition is worth defending because you dislike Kangana?

Just because you’ve been a lifelong Shahrukh fan, you’re ready to come to blows over and defend something’s that’s undeniably wrong? I like SRK too but nobody cares about Bollywood fanaticism in a real debate, you need to check that at the door before stepping up to debate for “social causes.”

Why should people not support the one and only voice that calls out the hypocrisy of Bollywood? If more people called them out and gained the same level of traction as Kangana, I’m certain that people will root for them too. People who support her are fully aware of what’s good and what’s bad, there’s no need to hector them in every thread here.

And if people can separate art from the artist when it comes to these nepo hypocrites, it should apply to Kangana too. If you’re gonna pick and choose, you’re just engaging in a fan war, not standing for any social cause and that’s why you have no right to impose your holier than thou attitude on others and call them names based on your fanaticism.

the most hilarious part of the nepotism debate last few months is that the section of fans who call themselves progressive and left wing are the ones doing mental gymnastics defending it... and the ones opposed to it are right wing..  same with authority misusing their power to bully a citizen is  supported too when its done by one government authority and vehemently opposed when done by another..

and using misogynistic and patriarchal insults in response to a female misogynist.. how does that make you look better?

minority rights isn't the only aspect of left wing political spectrum...
