Umm...I know I am supposed to post this in the Hollywood forum....but since this girl is of Pakistani origin, I thought I could post it in the Bollywood forum....If our fellow Pakistanis can promote Bollywood movies...why can't we promote Pakistanis?😳 I seriously hope she fulfills her wish and break the barriers for other talented Muslim girls!😊 Zara Adams hopes to be first Muslim Bond girl 26th Mar 2008 15.50 IST By ApunKaChoice Zara Adams, a British model of Pakistani origin, hopes to create history by landing the role of one of the Bond girls in the next 007 movie 'Quantum of Solace'. Zara was born in Glasgow to an Iranian father and Pakistani mother. She had a strict upbringing and had not seen even a single movie until she enrolled in the Philosophy course in Edinburgh University. Coincidentally, the first film she saw was a Bond flick. Now, she stands a good chance of landing a role in the next Bond movie. Zara has been undergoing auditions for the role and has cleared the first round. She will take part in the second round from April 2. She admits that her conservative family is upset with her for auditioning for the Bond movie. In an interview to The Sun, Zara said she is getting support from her friends but her parents aren't really happy about the auditions. However, Zara believes that clinching the role would not just be a breakthrough for her but would also break barriers for other Muslim girls. Zara is also the editor and publisher of 'The Talent' magazine. Her all-time favourite movies are 'Casablanca', 'Dr. Zhivago', 'In The Mood For Love' and 'White Oleander'. She is also an ardent fan of all Brigitte Bardot movies. |
