No. It deserves Oscars.
It will win all the Filmfare awards 🤷😝
But the trailer looks weird, the entanglement of some characters is unwanted, none of the actors look like they put in any effort in the scenes of the trailer.

Special tribute as buddha has come back to torture us with his shitty real life story
1)love story with first wife - ashiqui
2)love story with popular actress - arth
3)love story with same actress again - woh lamhe
4) story of own mother where she is dramatically killed in riots far far from reality - zakhm
5)story involving sensitive topic involving enuch or evil godman - both sadak, murder 2

No. It deserves Oscars.
🤣
IMO, BW does deserve more than this for the torture and toxic environments they create and have been nurturing for yrs. I hope this dislike doesn't stop anymore. Until the outsiders, out of camp, random talented actors' and actresses' movies are talked about, printed, awarded. When performances like Bulbul are well appreciated and highlighted as much as Highway.
I have mixed emotions tbh. It's deeper than we think I guess. On one hand, it is indeed pretty unfair because there are nepokids who haven't personally done anything wrong to Sushant but who are intentionally or not contributing to that corrupted and dirty system of Bollywood that's lately being exposed. Maybe this jhatka might shake them up and make them realise that it is indeed the audience that has the power to make or break them. I think it's Mahesh Bhatt that deserves that rheality (😌) check the most. The saddest thing is that there are a lot of hardworking people from the crew - technicians, spotboys etc who are gonna be collateral damage :/
On the other hand, it's a bad trailer, period, so I feel it would have gotten its share of dislikes anyway.
But then again, idk how Sadak 2 would have fared in real life (if people would actually boycott it) or how it will fare digitally when it releases.

I think from a digital pov, the dislikes or backlash doesnt matter to the technicians or the actual crew i.e. technician, cameraman, makeup artists, spotboys etc. behind it. Mostly the number of views that generate the money.
It matters to the bigshots like director, actors etc. who are the front face of the creative work. We can feel sad for ARK or let's say Sanjay. But Bhatt beti has done enough manipulations and damage to others to be a part of the backlash today. Imagine being an actress even after signing, you've been robbed of a movie for playing the lead because someone just expressed a displeasure that she aint happy about it. I cant imagine the emotional impact of that. 🤔
Did gully boy deserve so overwhelming appreciation that all other movies from last yr were ignored?
For the first time Alia's movie and acting ?? is getting the response that it deserves. Baap beti ka super ambitious project gyi paani me 😆😆
Honestly, i never liked her acting barring one or two movies here and there. Super overhyped. Bhatt buddha ki movie i have never seen anyway. But this movie actually looks pathetic and about Alia, the lesser said the better.🤪

@bold Hmm, that makes sense but, pardon my ignorance (that's probably a pretty basic question) - how do the filmmakers generate profits from digital releases? And if they do, I suppose the crew get their share as well?
