TBH, I consider Radha fictional because her first appearance is Devi Purana and/or Geeta Govindam. But even there, she is shown as a strong-willed character. There is even a story of Jayadeva having doubts about giving her the upper hand in the equation. but miracles making him go with that characterization.
Even she got ruined by Swastik.
Some people should simply be banned from ever going near a mytho show project.
I consider all the mythological characters fictional. That's my opinion and no offense to any different perspective.
But I see them as characters of amazing storylines and characters in a story should be logical, consistent, realistic ( even when it's in a fantasy world like HP or GOT ) and most of all should fulfill their purpose.
Radha was the part of Krishna's life when he hadn't taken the duty of Dharma sthapna in his hands yet. She was his better half in the real sense. She was the part of his life when he without caring about anything could allow himself to be unapologetically happy and make his other half happy in return. In many lores, she is the feminine form of Krishna. Their consummation was divine coz it was not only the mating of bodies but also the mating of their heart and soul and the immense divine pleasure generated from the awakening of all their combined ten senses. Their romance was forbidden yet divine, unfulfilled yet wholesome. They were never joined in a marital alliance and yet were never separate inspite of the distance and even death. Such was their romance. They were mutually teachers, mutually friends, mutually consultant, mutually lovers ---- nothing between them was ever one sided. The energy generated by their passionate love was always bidirectional and never conformed to societal terms.
But here, Radha had always been just a puppet in Krishna's hand who never had any mind of her own, always got manipulated by Krishna, always been lied to and brainwashed by Krishna and was a naive village girl who ever had any real idea neither about herself, nor her lover nor her husband.
She still doesn't know her husband attempted to murder her father----the very father whom she supposedly saved by marrying the tyrant.
Radha was a wholesome divine character just like Draupadi even though their bringing up made them different in many levels in the surface, at the end both of them were empowered and independent women who lived by their own terms.
So the people who ruined Radha would obviously ruin Draupadi the same way and every other strong woman character who appears. Coz here Krishna has only one relationship with the women----a kindergarten teacher and toddler students. That's the one and only relationship Swastik can build up between a mythological woman and Krishna.
