The above narrative is what a lot of people are questioning because there is NO EVIDENCE to corroborate any of this. People are just building conspiracy theories out of thin air. Not only that, people are being called murderers and abused and threatened based on these conspiracy theories.

Sushant was a victim of the toxic work culture of this industry. You need a very thick skin, strong mind and strong support system to survive the circus that is Bollywood. Everyone in this industry goes though the same things at varying levels. Sushant unfortunately was unable to take it.

What we should be talking about is the toxic nature of blind items in general. Ethical media reporting , mental health awareness etc. Instead what is being talking about is murder theories and conspiracies. I think that is what people have a problem with.

I agree with you. I said this before. Blind Items are written about everyone. Ranbir, Akshay, Ajay and more have had the worst of it. Akshay especially. Calling SSR a rapist or molester never happened in blind items. The BIs about him, I rechecked the ones shared again, looked pretty normal. There are people out there with agendas to attack the people being blamed. I am sure of it.

People are missing the point here. What Anurag is trying to say is that SSR was just like any other outsider who was looking to work with the biggies. Because people are so hell-bent on blaming others right? so he's saying SSR did want he wanted and made his own decisions.

I agree. An the mere fact that he was able to make his own decisions shows that SSR was better off than alot of others

That blinds are planted is something of an open secret. They've all admitted to peddling gossip. RK and KKK openly admitted to it on that show.

That they knew SSR was fragile is also something they admitted.

That the insiders have money and support systems is fact. That most outsiders do not is also fact.

This is no narrative being "peddled." However, there is a definite attempt to muddy the picture to say it was SSR's mind that was a problem, not their behavior.

Not only that, collusion to keep dates and theatres away is ILLEGAL. So is paying reviewers to write bad reviews. There have been enough open riffs between insiders for people to know undermining competition happens. Evidence shows up when someone bothers to collect it and present it in a court of law.

peddling gossip doesnt mean manufacturing stories. BIs are spread by those inside the industry. writers dont imagine these BIs. Remember when KR told PV about RK messaging her? RK had his people take down that blind.

True, thats what I have been trying to say since he passed. The man lived a great life, he had everything. he wasn't some poor guy being bullied.

I looked up Sushant's MeToo blind in Pinkvilla. This is what it said:

"This young lady who will be making her film debut later this year seems to have her head firmly screwed to her shoulders. When her co-star, known for his errant ways, came on too strongly, she politely but firmly put him in his place. As word of this got around, another Bollywood producer, a corporate honcho, who also happens to be working with the said male star, immediately took precautionary action and put a formal anti-sexual harassment policy in his company. Better be safe than sorry. Well done, sir.”

Maybe this blind is completely false and made up. However, no where is it saying that he molested her or worst raped her??? 😕 Just saw an interview of Kangana saying that Sushant was labelled a "rapist". When did that happen?? 🤔..This is what I was talking about. Just spinning up conspiracy theories and making it look like there was a planned plot to "destroy" Sushant.

I think people are too eager to buy into conspiracy theories because it gives them closure and relief from the pain of losing such a bright, young star. But the truth is, even if there was a toxic industry atmosphere (and I think there was), legally speaking it will never be taken as abetment in a court of law because the law on this is very clear. Masand writing blind items or media giving you bad press does not count at as abetment, if anything, it will put the onus back on SSR's mental health and how he was sensitive about it so it hit him harder. I've said this before regarding the law- wont get into it again but you can DM me if you like for the intricacies of abetment and how it stands.

You say yourself that he was fragile- if someone else repeats this point about mental health, why is it seen as an attempt to "muddy" the waters? Being in poor mental health doesnt mean "craaaazy". I get what you're trying to say partly, I also dont like or approve of the insensitive remarks made by Rhea's PR without proof ("schiophrenia" etc) but everyone knew that he was struggling. Why does it have to be one big conspiracy if anyone points that out? Why cant we have a nuanced conversation about it?
