Lol... of course people cannot make movies in the vaccum right? The Chopras and Johars and the other people were also in it for themselves and weren’t doing any charity on SRK...last I checked! Its ultimately some talent that the guy must be having which got him this far?

His God father became his God father if you wanna call him that because Shahrukh took up a role which was rejected by all big stars of that time.. no one was willing to take that role.. Shahrukh did, it paid off and earned him the love of Yash Chopra.. they worked together because both benefitted from it

Shahrukh worked with Karan when Karan was a nobody.. he worked with Farah when she did not have any backing

He mostly co produces.. Badla is his home production.. ittefaq is his home production.. the Netflix series are all produced by him and none of them have worst performances

In trying to elevate others, you are negating the hard work of someone who literally started from scratch and then wonder why Sushant was not welcomed by audience.. maybe like you think Shahrukh's hard work is all attributed to his "God Father", others think Sushant did not do hard work either..

It was a director vision. So we need to stop crediting just entirely Srk and give credit to the director who saw the talent in him. Not to forget DDLJ and Mohabbatien. Given a negative role in darr to a romantic hero in DDLJ is very risky. But these directors believed in him when he was not sure if that was a good idea. When someone say he made it on his own. It is not true. He never had fake blinds, because Yash chopra always supported him and treated him like his own Son. There is no such thing charity in Bollywood.

Shahrukh was not the first choice for DDLJ interestingly again though.. he was like third or fourth

He was called arrogant and brash by one and during his time.. There were no blinds during that time because social media did not exist.. not because of Yash Chopra.. and when blind culture started, Shahrukh too was targeted

So it's all about director's vision? In that way, no and i mean no actor is ever self made..none of them

That’s what I am saying...Its all a collective effort but cannot be attributed to having God fathers and benefactors...The guy has to actually have some talent to especially come this far! He took up Darr when the other rejected so Chopra made it worthwhile for him by centering the entire narrative on his character and giving him more visibility....And even for DDLJ multiple people rejected that role, SRK himself wasn’t convinced that he would be able to play the part but once again he was willing to take the risk and it paid off...Risk taking, networking along with having the actual talent- everything is part of becoming successful....

Sushant was never acknowledged for his hard word in media. Kai poo che they called him ordinary looking guy, dhoni biopic, media said it got hit because of Dhoni Brand when SSR worked 2 years on the movie, Kedarnath media gave all the publicity to Sara ali Khan and called his performance ordinary and chichore all credit went to director and Shraddha. Not only that, media made fake blinds he raped, he is arrogant and parties a lot and trouble maker. If you believe he didn’t worked hard, that is your call. I will not get into that.

Srk never received any negative publicity or fake blinds. It is great he supported his friends Karan and Farrah I will not count Karan Johar here as I think his all movies are overhyped. K3G was unbearable. Kank was a disaster. I am talking about Yash chopra. Who I really admire and his work always been top notch excluding Jab Tak Hai Jaan. We can not deny he given Srk best roles. Many actors were jealous how he always work with Srk but he never stopped believing in Srk. And that is what directors do, find talent and explore. Even the dialogue or how your expressions are, Yash Chopra taught Srk and there are videos too. Saying Srk made it on his own is insulting Yash chopra hard work.

SRK was not targeted?🤣 it's clear you really have not much knowledge about him then

The best roles came because Shahrukh took risks.. He wasn't the first choice for Darr.. he wasn't the first choice for DDLJ and yet he made those characters work

By insinuating Shahrukh succeeded and calling Yash Chopra his God father, you are insulting Shahrukh's hard work and when you do that, you really lose the right to talk about how outsiders are treated because you are no different.. if Sushant wasn't credited for his successes, you are taking the credit of Shahrukh's success from him

I never said Srk is talentless. I remember how I would wait for Srk and yash chopra combination because I knew it wowuld be magic. Both compliment each other. But I cannot digest when I hear he made it on his own. Without a director a movie is incomplete. Director is the soul of the movie.

Ok in that case most of Chhichore success credit went to Nitesh rather than Actors and now people are up in arms over it
