How is it the singer's fault if the song is copied? By that logic Anuradhaji shouldn't have won for Dhak Dhak Karne Laga in 1993 (personally I feel the Hindi version had more zing to it than the original Telugu version)

Kunal gave his best to the song. He was phenomenal.

Tumse Milke was a good song but the best song of Main Hoon Na was Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha sung by Abhijit da. And he wasn't even nominated.

Any tom dick and harry can sing Bheege hont if not kunal the song was sold due to sexual visiual which was a big thing back in days with no p*rn era vocally bheege hont has nothing much to offer...:D but to sing a song calibre of Tumse milke dilka hai jo haal qawali u need trained vocals with high range scale and it was by far the best song of Main Hoon Na, a rock Qawali which was something new to that era and something unprecedented ..no kunal no kumar sanu no udit narayan no shaan can sing that qawali song ...and Abhijeet song was a regular romantic song like few of his own Suno na suno na or Aur Kya from phir bhi dil hai hindustani type ....

So "easy" songs shouldn't win? If you can sing hindustani classical, then you can sing that song. Sonu is a terrific singer but he's had much better songs to win. Like him not winning for Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin. Next you will say Uditji shouldn't have won for Papa Kehtein Hai over Md Aziz for Dayavan.

And I was a kid and remember Bheege Honth playing on every radio station. Every kid was singing it and we did not have the kind of internet access as today. We had cassettes and CDs. None of us saw the music video but we loved the song.

The Rock Qawaali part is Anu Malik's creation. It added to the album. Can't give a singer the credit for the music director's work. Sonu sung it well coz he is a talented singer but both the songs are equally challenging.

I get it that you are a Sonu fan but the kind of vocal range Abhijit da showed in Tumhe Jo Maine Dekha was brilliant. The romance and feel in his voice was out of this world. U cannot compare it to Suno Na. And if you want to, the closest song is Deewana Tera Tujhe Hi Bulae.

At least acknowledge another singer's brilliant doing.
