Sansui India is all set to host its annual Sansui Television Awards 2008 and announced the jury and the nominations at JW Marriott on Tuesday evening. The glittering event was hosted by Anil Khera, Director Marketing and Sales, Sansui India (the Indian arm of the world famous Japanese home entertainment brand Sansui Electronics). Also present were the entire team of Cineyug Worldwide, who promised mesmerising performances at the awards night! The panelists including Sonali Bendre, Poonam Dhillon, Pahlaj Nihalani and Ramesh Taurani all came together to pledge their support. The other eminent judges include Sachin Pilgaonkar, Nitin Desai, Rati Agnihotri and Ganesh Jain. Pooja Misra was the effervescent emcee of the evening.
Khera said, "When we started the Sansui awards, we wanted to reach out to our end consumers through a medium that they relate to. We let the consumers decide the fortunes of their favourite television stars and the response has been phenomenal. We are looking at touching a billion people this year."
Sansui Television Awards 2008 will be announced in a grand ceremony on March 29, 2008 at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai produced and executed by Cineyug Worldwide, the pioneers of entertainment. This year, the awards have four broad categories with 37 sub categories. The broad categories include Popular Category — to be judged by Public Polling, The News Channel awards, Jury Awards and Technical Awards, all to be judged by the jury. The Popular awards categories include: Best Actor — Male & Female, Best Supporting Actor –—Male & Female, Best Actor in a Negative Role — Male & Female, Best Actor in a Comic Role Performance, Best Serial and Best Director
