How many of you liked this movie?

I found it dark, depressing, unsettling. But also gritty and realistic. Def. one of the best films of 2019.

Ayushmann's performance was lit❤️

Ayushmann deserved that critics award. I hope, he keeps on doing such movies too. ❤️

Yeah exactly. These kind of movies will give him that much-eluded tag of 'versatile'. Also, his real talent comes out when he does these kind of movies.

He is good but I can understand that why he is doing same kind of movies, it's better to make a strong hold on certain genre to survive there, he knows that, he said that even after Vicky Donor, he had to pack his bags as his movies were getting flop, I guess, he doesn't want to take the same risk. Good for him. You are right, these movies will give him that tag and he does have potential.

Let's see.

He had also mentioned that it was because of his back to back hits at the time that he had gotten the courage to want to do the film. If those hadn't happened, dunno he would have even been hired, or if the audience would have gone to see the film.

But I agree. Article 15, although gruesome, is an absolute gem. I really hope he teams up with Anubhav again for another project.

Oh, I didn't know that. It's really difficult to survive there especially for an outsider, glad he is doing good. Even he didn't get Andhadhun on Platter, he asked Sri Ram Raghavan for that role. Otherwise he wasn't the first choice. Glad he did that.

Agreed.

There are a lot of films that he wants to do, but he needs a bankable audience for it to a certain extent. He has mentioned many times that every single one of his films have been risky due to the nature of the content themselves. Whatever success and fame he has gotten, it's all purely from the audience. They trust him to do out of the box scripts, and bring forth a subject they had never considered seeing on the big screen before.

And with Article 15, and Andhadun, bigger, more critically acclaimed directors now also know that he too, is capable of giving stellar performances. Like all actors, he simply needs the right script to shine.

Completely agree with you.

Bold, this!!

His movies have been successful because of the audience and people never expected that his small movies can turn into super successful movies.

Hey, mine too! I actually thought his performance here was better than Andadhun, for which he won a National Award.

In Article 15, I saw no trace of Ayushmann-- only the character. And that's a rare feat. The movie is dazzling storytelling. Sinha has woven together the caste angle and the gender angle into a genuine thriller format which is hard to ignore.
