The only thing about this is that people that live in rural areas and rely on single screen theatres will end up missing out on a lot of good content.
It's a double edged sword b/c there's no way to track ROI via digital other than reviews and how many people viewed. They could do what Invisible Man did and charge $19.99 to view it at home and then months later drop it down to $5. But I can't see people paying that much for a home viewing experience tbh.
It could be an added benefit b/c a lot of actors nowadays have profit-sharing in their contracts. They take an initial paycut and then grab a certain percentage of the profits, which would hard to do on digital.

Agar tumhe itni baat samaj nahi aati ki: one scenario involves mingling with a set of people you know and who take proper precautions (and that too once things get back to normal), while the other involves sitting in a movie hall and jostling for arm space with strangers then I cannot help you. 🤪
Oh and also coming in contact with n number of people while going to the mall or in the mall.
Actually leave it, tumhe nahi samaj aayega.
I feel like I just told someone I have a fear of flying and they said: you shouldn't get out of the house coz accidents to road and rail se bhi hote hai, or maybe some vehicle will run you over while you are walking.😆
I am sorry 😔

Yup - Masand’s blind item this week is more/less is in line with your thoughts:
“A senior star (let’s just call him a legend) is reportedly not at all pleased that as many as three of his new films are headed for a straight-to-streaming release in the months ahead. In the light of Covid-19, lockdown and the impact that it will have on the film business going ahead, several producers of small-budget and mid-budget films are making deals to forego a theatrical release and drop directly on digital. When cinemas open again, it will be a tussle for release dates, and with many star-driven tentpoles jostling for the right window, it is estimated that smaller-sized films could get steamrolled completely.
All three films in question, starring the legend, are small to modest-sized productions. None are expected to do big opening day or opening weekend collections. A straight-to-streaming release on a top digital platform could provide these films a larger audience than they are likely to find in cinemas. But the penetration of streaming platforms into B and C towns is negligible, and the legendary star is still a draw in small-town India. Rumour has it that he is pushing the producers of these films to lock a solid ‘satellite’ release to complement the streaming release so his fans in smaller towns and cities can catch these films on television even if they don’t have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar.“

What do you think about rural areas people? That we are living in huts and without internet access? Most people here use netflix amazon etc.
Please stop making your old age assumptions about us. Thank you

It has become a habit for him. The drama he created over Badla made me think it's Big B's kartoot.
All streaming movie get satellite releases though.
So that wouldn't be a problem.

Big B has Gulabo Sitabo and some random movies called Chehre and Jhund as per his Wikipedia page. I am sure they are all releasing on OTT. I have not even heard about the last two films.
His Wiki page also says he is doing a Kannada and a Tamil film. Wasn't he advised by doctors to cut down on work? He is even taking up regional cinema? Gosh, he looks so weak. He should take it easy now.
It has become a habit for him. The drama he created over Badla made me think it's Big B's kartoot.
What did he do?

My intention wasn't to offend anyone, but I mean places where people's only source of entertainment comes from single screen theatres and they don't have access to Netflix or Amazon Prime. Just b/c you do that's great, but I'm sure not everyone has the same access.
