I love her as Draupadi. Just the right mixture of fiery nature, emotion, hurt, anger as well as a hint of pride.

Regarding her career, I think she is good. I watched her in another Bengali movie "Antarmahal" and she was excellent.

I have watched that too. She is a very prolific Bengali actress and there are several good films in her list.

But her this portrayal of Draupadi is just so beautiful, people even remember it today! I am actually watching the show for the first time properly and yet I love her performance.

Speaking of Roopa, what do people who've followed her Bong movie career think of her in that realm? Among my ex and her friends, there weren't too many takers. Was she overrated, underrated or just fine?

I think she is a very good actress. IMO, she hasn't been given too many concrete roles to remember but whatever she was given, she did well at least what I have seen.

I have liked her in Yugant, Bariwali, Andarmahal, Padma Nadir Majhi and Hemlock Society 😊

She was there in a movie as Mithun's sister.

I loved her in that role too

Roopa Ganguly was just fabulous as Draupadi!

I think she defined Draupadi as this was the major retelling of MBH for generations!

The vastraharan scene was top notch & she made you feel for her.

My complaint is with how the character was written by BRC - slightly made her too revenge driven/arrogant which Vyasa's Draupadi was not.

Although I like her as Draupadi. She at multiple times had the Bengali accent in her dialogues something which hit me, excluding this, she was almost perfect
