Vicky Donor, Jor Laga k haisa, Andhadhun and Article 15 are his truly good movies. In rest of the stuff, the other actors were doing the heavy lifting.

I even found dream girl a lazy movie. It was more and less similar like Vicky donor.

Bala was bullshit. I liked ujda chaman more, but that movie kinda lost track after the interval.

Dreamgirl was fun, but vanilla.

Barring Andhadhun and Article 15, his movies are always safe comedy with a particular subject matter. Movies based on taboo topics were risky in 2013-15, but now not so much.

I don't like Ayushman comedy movies. Badhai ho was good but he was not the reason why it was good. I loved Article 15 and Andhadhun. He should do those movies more often. More importantly good writers should write those movies more often over the lazy comedies we get.

The film was over-hyped, and was riding on the lead to simply, draw people into watching it. I was disappointed and think it was if not his worse film then it must be a close second. The theme is so done and maybe in India there is "shock" at the kissing and openly gay PDA, but neither one was convincing and has such a happy and gay persona that even if an old theme you still enjoy it..to me it is a mediocre, force yourself to watch one time kind of thing.

It masqueraded as a Juhi Chaturvedi script. That was the problem. You can't write as someone else.

Plus, Ayushmann's masalafication of social issues is getting really stale now.
