Subh Mangal Ziyada Shavdhaan was utterly lazy movie.

Seems like they only rode on the shock value of "oh a movie about gays, where a mainstream actor like Ayushmann is kissing another male".

Movie was had a lazily written, shoddy and thin screenplay, along with not having much of humor or entertainment. Seems like makers didn't put much effort, and movie seemed like one of those humorless boring YouTube sketches that TSP/TVF/Timeliners do, but nearly 2hour one.

I will continue to say it. Barring a movie, here or there, Ayushman has been making the exact same movie since Vicky Donor and he always plays the same character. It was bound to get tiring at some point.

Yes. Saw it online a few days ago. Total waste of time, no story. Only 3-4 funny scenes, mostly Manvi Gagroo's scenes.

The webshow 'Panchayat' with almost the same cast except Ayushmann is much, much better.

I felt the same thing when I watched Bala. Except for AndhaDhun, Ayushman's movies are all very similar.

100% agree. The storyline and script was weak, although I loved all of the actors. The dad and mom's characters weren't fleshed out enough. There were some funny jokes and the message and representation much needed. I just wish they had a better script.

Most of Ayushmann's movies are lazy and forgettable. Bala and Dream Girl were the same. He just rode on goodwill for a while.

Everyone liked Badhai Ho but I thought that was crap too. Only Andhadhun was good.

Like someone mentioned, Panchayaat has the small town/village template but it's 100x times better in quality.
