Anjaana Anjaani: A movie that didn't get its due?

This is one underrated movie for sure! It's my favourite movie of 2010. Two strangers meeting and falling in love under unusual circumstances. Both Ranbir and Priyanka were fabulous in the movie, and had such good chemistry. The songs were also lit.

Siddharth Anand’s screenplay has some sparkling moments like when the couple is marooned in mid-sea or when Ranbir is forced to attempt a striptease on the Disco Dancer title track.

I've always wondered why people don't discuss this movie much. Do you guys like it?

I remember really liking the songs, especially Aas Paas Khuda and Tujhe Bhula Diya. One of Vishal-Shekhar’s better albums. The movie was ok, time pass rom com. Didn’t watch the movie in theatres and wasn’t living in India then so don’t know how the movie was received. The movie was in the rom/com zone and Sid Anand was back after Ta Ra Rum Pum and Bachna Ae Haseeno, before moving into the action zone with Bang Bang and War.

Off topic, but Would say that Ranbir def lost interest in working with Sid after this movie because I remember how Ranbir kept praising Sid during BAH and AA promos that he is a childhood friend etc, but once AA underperformed etc, Ranbir started dissing the movie publicly and all the praise disappeared. Also he famously didn’t get along with PC (swimming prank) and she also warned DP about Kat coming to the sets, so I’m guessing this movie wasn’t a happy experience for him.

Never watched this movie but music by VS was really good especially Tujhe Bhula Diya.

Oh thanks for the tidbits...I was unaware that Ranbir and Priyanka didn't get along during the making of this movie. They both had such good chemistry though!

I think the movie unperformed because Robot ( starring Rajnikanth) released on the same day. I personally loved the movie and have watched it numerous times.

Hated this movie. Ranbir and PC were giving each other competition of who can do more overacting. The suicide storyline was so lame. I couldn't watch the whole movie in 1 shot.

Movies like Anjaana Anjaani are a dime a dozen. There was nothing really to set it apart. Even the soundtrack was probably the most average of Pre YJHD Ranbir movies.

Music was good but a very boring movie

There are some movies where I find Priyanka utterly unbearable to watch. This movie was one of them. Never got to watch it fully because of that.

Has some of my favorite songs , but movie sucked.

One of the worst movies ever made. Absolute piece of shit, I had a horrible headache after I tried to watch it.
