I agree that Kunal wanted his marriage matter to be closed asap. It will always pinch me that he never cared who he got married to. It was all about his mom's happiness- in fact thats how Abir convinced him initially - that Kunal should get married as it will please his mom. I fully understand Abir always had Kunal's best interest in his heart. However, I believe they never had a conversation where Abir mentioned that choosing the right girl is also important - or did I miss it?

The scenes you get are all the more meaningful because there aren't as many, and you are left wanting and imagining more, because they didn't exhaust all the possibilities onscreen. I completely agree. Their story comes together really well. I do feel we miss out on Kunal's perspective though. It would've been nice to see him grow in the relationship, in his own way. Having said that, I think we've made a lot of inferences in his small scenes and reactions. I feel like I've reached that stage too, where I'm satisfied with their story.

I'm surprised I lasted so long with this pair. I tune out and get bored very quickly usually so I don't really have attachment issues 😆. But for some reason, I've not gone off these two 🤔.

On a totally unrelated note, what's everyone watching these days? Just yesteday I watched the animated series Undone which I really enjoyed. I don't know what to watch next. I know there's a lot out there but I can't seem to pick a show where I'm like 'yeah, I can sit through that'. I'm just sat waiting for Afterlife 2.

I thought I will chime in regarding Kunal and his approach to marriage at the start of the show. Kunal, I believe used to love Shweta. However, even there, he was marrying her AFTER his family had approved of the rishta. This guy was NEVER going to force his wishes on his family. Meenu's parvarish never allowed for that. Which is why, to break that rishta, bigben had to go through Shweta💔. There was no other way for her to break it.

So when at a later stage he was being introduced to A girl and that girl happened to be Kuhu and was later switched to Mishti, it made no difference to him. So long as the girl is parivaar approved... more importantly chosen by ma, she is the right choice for me. Look how I already made a huge mistake by choosing myself and bringing home a girl who then broke up with me

So who he marries matters to him, however, in so much as that person fits with the family. Its very arranged marriage 101. The person he was going to marry, their khandaan matters most. Because, if you know their khaandan, you know their values and habits. Raja betas and betis dont care for much else⭐️. Because everything else can be worked out.

Btw just watched some clips of Mishku fighting at Kutch utsav bcz Mishti performed alone instead performing together with Kuhu. Any idea how the song got changed? I know, I'll be extremely annoyed if something like that happened to me. Main to band baja dun us banday ki. Idk why I've started finding FL to be extremely annoying towards Kuhu in first few episodes.Mujhe to chirh charh rahi hai(kuch emotions mother tongue Mein hi bayan ho pata hain😅) She literally treated Kuhu like a brat in front of Ketki(whom they've just met). Like saying "Kuhu yeh bohat serious matter hai". Dude, she understands. She just trying to ease the girl out who is on the verge of breakdown.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what the narrative wants us to believe. Ignoring all the back story and rest of the characterization. I found it quite distasteful 👎🏼

Well, this is what they get when they try to oscillate the characters.. This is a major Dkp problem. Either keep the character completely black or completely white.. The thing they r doing with kuhu n meenu makes ppl hate their characters even more

On one side they show kuhu berating mishti, telling her to live the rv house n on other hand she is all mushy with her when they consume bhang or r tricked by the bros

The promo after mishbir Milan clearly showed that kuhu wud create troubles for mishbir deliberately but in the other episodes the thing they r showing is completely opposite

Frankly they shud wind up this track quickly after lockdown otherwise ppl wud get really bored seeing this saas bahu devrani saazish

They shud give meenu n her plans a break n focus on the leads story n on side by side they can also show kuku n none of them shud interfere in each other's matters. This wud be the best thing for everyone

I agree! It was distasteful but I also have to say that watching the VM cracked me up. Not because it was funny in itself but the way the maker saw the characters. They clearly don't understand the characters and this VM just made me laugh at that thought process.

@Rashi: Hey! From my minimal interaction with you on the MF, I have realised that you dislike both of these characters but there is soooo much depth to these 2 characters than just black and white and if you see the show on its own having an ensemble cast rather than just focussing on the leads, you might just see the depth not just these 2 but all the characters have. The writers have worked real hard to make all the characters layered and have their own instincts and motivations and that is the reason why characters other than the leads also have substantial fan following.

I think its a family show & thats what the intent of the makers is, to explore the familial relationships, by exploring the insecurities & character growth of all characters (well, atleast the few main characters😛), and exploring the different dynamics of a family & their relationships with each other

had it been a love story of a couple, the leads would have not been married so soon in the show & with just 2 weeks episodes covering the whole wedding track it would have been much more grand & would have run for atleast a month, showing each & every gujrati & marwari of the rasams & functions🤣
