Are 90% of Bollywood songs plagiarized?

Yes or no? Even RD Burman has copied music. I follow two YouTube channels called Desi Megamind and Bapaogiri, they have almost 40+ videos each of copied/lifted Bollywood songs and tunes.

Honestly, it has had a lot to do with the producers and directors...they would hear songs from different countries and pass on the cassettes to MDs...if the MDs said okay we'll give you something similar, but no, the producer/director wanted the exact original..but they wanted a relevant composer's name attached to it.

The ones who have willingly copied are RD and Anu. Rehman does it many times, but no one is either willing to believe it or pick it up.

From 1950s only songs are copied from other countries in hindi movies

I can list many famous songs of 50s and 60s copied tunes

Its just that there was no youtube to listen to outside music to know who copied till 2000-2005 till net became famous

There are originals music directors like Naushad, Khayyam etc but they are more into classical than modern music that can be easily copied from other countries

Even AR Rehman copied many music or tunes you can google to know

40+ se 1000s gaano ka credit gya kachre me. No, there might be some copying but still pancham da has given some very fine music in many films

It is very sad, but at least 90% of Bollywood music is plagiarized. I remember watching this like 20 part video with all the songs BW plagiarized from. They took from so many European, American and even Pakistani songs.
