I've been following all the discusisons, and I'm so glad I read your post before trying to reply, @Peace! You've covered everything I would have wanted to say beautifully!

I came across this Insta post earlier today and it reminded me of this most important scene, which I absolutely love.

It's in Episode 68, in case anyone is interested in revisiting. Kunal basically tells Kuhu that he wants to keep talking to her and being her friend, but that the drama between their families makes that impossible. He's been super clear from day one that his feelings take secondary priority to his family's, and Kuhu came into this relationship knowing that she would have to work around that to be with him.

I am probably getting repeptitive, but this is the beauty of their sort of opposite journeys. Kuhu wanted to be Kunal's wife but is constantly confronted with the fact that she is so much more than that, Kunal never wanted to give in to his own desires and live solely for others, but he finds himself on this journey to being Kuhu's husband.

Yay Ria!! I just gave this a read and I love how you stayed true to the characterization throughout the story (although I am still doubtful that Kunal is at the stage of self-awareness in which he can feel bad for how he talks to Kuhu. Oh well. Some things are just made for the HC and SS world I guess). I will see if I can continue it!

I think this is when I realized that I shipped these two more (which was followed with a certain amount of heartbreak because I knew I'd never be 100% satisfied ever again with this show because, well, that's just how it is with ITV and parallel leads).

His expressions say everything. From being genuinely excited for his rishta with Kuhu, to the unpleasant shock he got after Meenakshi swapped her for Mishti.

Plus this is probably the hottest he's ever looked in the show.

I always wondered why Kunal looked at Kuhu like that. Kuhu's feelings for Kunal were clear at this point in the story but Kunal was ready to marry Mishti, so why did he look at Kuhu longingly?

I also loved how after the rishta got swapped, Kunal was so restless not being able to call and apologise to Kuhu. He only went through with the rishta swap because he thought it was what Meenu wanted, and Abir put a lot of pressure on him (what's new?). His own comfort, attraction, and choice was always with Kuhu.

@Nikki: I think Kunal had also just fired Kuhu from Red Pear at this point, so that look is partly guilt about that, but mostly a look that conveys the sentiment, "agar Mishti humari beech mein nahi aati to humari kahani kuch aur ho sakti thi" 😭

in 1 of the bts he was pulling Kaveri's cheek, that was such a cute moment, I realised kubir's bro bond extends to offscreen as well

I am so glad that I am not the only one who thinks this. From the last couple dance sequence where KuBir have been in one frame, I have thought about how they would look opposite each other.
