Chapaak has been watched and I must say Meghna has put good efforts bringing this story to audience. lot of research, study has gone into making the film which is very visible. Kuch scene send chills down the spine and kuch bahut Inspiring hai. Direction is okay, Deepu be bhi role justice kia hai. Problem with film is screenplay. Bahut Idhar Udhar bikhara hua hai

Mujhe aisa lag raha hai ki subject bahut sensitive hai kuch scenes bahut hard hai to watch toh writer to easy on eyes karne me liye kuch portions ko tone down kia hai jisse yeh mess create hua hai. Upar se past present me flip flop hoti rehti hai jisse interest Chala Jaata hai

Woh end scene me tragedy reveal kia hai Jo kaafi impact karta agar pehle aata. Overall ek accha attempt hai meghna and her co writer are to be blamed most.

Meghna ko books ko hi adapt karna chahiye Jahan ek coherent story ho from start to finish jaise talvar and Raazi thi.

Material ke saath woh apne input add karti hai jiski kadi woh thik se bandh nahi paati Jo out of the place lagta hai.

Thank you for a comprehensive review...I am still unable to bring myself to watch it but will do for sure before its taken down from the theaters...

Looks like it has tanked at the box office, but slowly its climbing up in the content count.

Both IMDB & Book My Show ratings are increasing.

IMDB ratings had started with 1.something * thanks to all the RW supporters blindly rating it 1* because of DP. But now, after 3 days of theatre run, its rating has increased to 4.4*. Perhaps genuine reviews are now pouring in from the moviegoers who have actually watched the movie.

In Book My Show too it had 43% rating on Friday. But now it's 77%.

Majority of the people who have watched it are reviewing it positive it seems.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior Excellent Sunday - Chhapaak Low

Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior has recorded excellent collections on Sunday with 25-26 crore nett as per early estimates which will mean a 60 crore nett weekend for the film. The growth is superb on Sunday with collections going up 30%. It makes it even better that the competition and holdover releases have not grown much on Sunday.

The film has scored very good numbers in Mumbai circuit and good numbers in CP Berar and Nizam / Andhra. The other circuits have not done as well but they can make ground over the weekdays as the growth has been excellent on Saturday and Sunday. There was also be the benefit of minor holidays in some circuit.

The film has done around 27 crore nett in Mumbai which is a big weeeknd number and its this circuit where the film can go on a very strong run and hit a very big number. Delhi / UP is just 9 crore nett apprx and here it will have to have a Monday close to the first day number which is possible.

Chhapaak has fared poorly with a 7-7.50 crore nett Sunday which means a weekend of 18 crore nett plus. The weekend numbers were never going to be much but these films are not about the weekend number but the weekend trend which is not good. When a film like Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior shows better trending than a concept film like Chhapaak then you know that film is in trouble.

This film will also get some benefit from the minor holidays but after that there will be struggle and its unlikely to sustain in the long run.

even if brahmastra and takht and sadak 2 are floppies, aloo has proved her mettle with non glamoured roles in udta punjab, highway, and raazi.
