Beyhadh 2 and Naagin are quite similar

Anybody see the similarities? I feel the theme, execution and emotions are very similar, only that the main character in Beyhadh is more ruthless and grey compared to the leads in Naagin seasons.

Yamini. But seriously, Yamini from Naagin season 1 was one of the best villains on Indian television. Her being the mastermind was a great and completely unexpected twist.
