Yes Parvathy and Vijay Sethupathi are exceptional performers, but their greatest superpower must be to remain seated and resist the urge to walk out of a room full of ill-informed, boring and self-obsessed Bollywood headliners.

Said so nicely. Even I was like what the heck Ranveer is doing ??? why is he sucking Ayushman's d*ck like that ... is he jealous or he just trying to hide his nervousness. Deepu snorted white powder before talk so she was just talking talking.... but none of her words made any sense.

Sethupati was true, straight and didn't care about Bollywood morons.

Parvathy ... hats off....

Ayushman had nothing much to say, just basking upon glorious success this year.

Which part didn’t even make sense?

Women do take more risks then men. Actresses already played homosexual part way before heros.

Cinema do influence audience.

now where are the nonsense she said?

The debate about glorification of disturbing acts or characters is relevant and valid....but there should have been other examples bought in which include the same people who said there needs to be a sense of social responsibility ....I’m looking at ranveer and dp

.did Arjun reddy / kabir singh need the wadawowow background score when he’s punching up guys? I would say no...that’s glorification for sure

Similarly if facts are being presented ,

Did khilji need a dance number for himself with the audience cheering? Maybe not

Did the Jauhar scene need to be filmed majestically with rani saa tu aan Baan hai playing in the background? Should it be shown as an act of courage or an utter tragedy ? Should it fill u with pride or make you squirm?

Did Bajirao and mastanis infidelity need a sugar coating of eternal love and mohobbat?

Did ramleela really need the Tagline “golion ki raasleela” literal translation “romance of the bullets”..of course guns were used extensively in the songs aswell ..ishqiyaon dishqiyaon...I have them running guns on each other’s faces and saying Uda doongi

In the above cases the actors justified their Stance saying they went with the directors vision and their expression...and the acts are limited to those characters and not a social commentary ...fair enough..I think Vijay answered the same way

I think the directors are more answerable than actors in this kinda debate

When an actor justifies a role like AD and says it’s “love” then it becomes problematic. You can play a character for it’s arc but you don’t justify his actions when it can set a bad premise in society.

Was Khilji’s character glorified as some mahaan person and got Padmavaati after all his destructive ways? It was out an out negative.

Did you even get the Jauhar scene to begin with? “I would rather die a painful death than be taken hostage” There is no Sati Pratha and Jauhar culture now.

Was Padmavaat or Bajirao Masatni set in today’s time? Is Arjun Reddy set in today’s time?

Do Bajirao Mastani have a happy ending? Or Ramleela for that matter? or Padmavaati?

Does Arjun Reddy have a happy ending after all of his problematic behavior?
