Why is BB so desperate?

Why is he acting so desperate? First with Asim and Shukla useless and scripted fight and now Rashmi and Shukla showmance. Why are they doing it given that the TRP is already very high?

my understanding from reading comments here is, this is BB investment for future -to produce decade long tv soaps on colors channel

Poor biggboss and creative team has tried everything but nothing is working in favour of Rashmi and they might thought to bring her acting skills so give her footage and do some paisa vasool.
