Ethinic social events and teen's

There are community and social events where teen's in general are not so amused or lack fun factor or have other skl priorities to attend, but are pushed by parents to accompany them.

There is some kind of social/community obligation for all, by 12 years of age, parents can work on it, but still if there is no willingness then teen's should be left alone, any force can back even if that concerns preserving or carrying on the culture.

Should teen's be forced to attend community / social event against there will ?

Oh you mean "Sunita Aunty's get together" and "Komal Aunties Potluck dinner", I remember those... ๐Ÿ˜†

Can't say I enjoyed all of them, usually depended if my friends were coming or not ๐Ÿ˜›

I say leave the kid alone, sometimes (only if old enough to stay home by themselves), teach them culture some other way... ๐Ÿ˜Š
