These are 'stage' songs and don't really test the metal of singers. There are so many Marathi songs, a simple youtube search brings up thousands of them. But I don't think all these singers have enough calibre to even attempt these songs , so they keep repeating the same songs. I have never heard them attempt songs like ya dolyanchi don pakhre or sar sukhachi hi sharavani or house number 54. Watching such musical shows is a waste of time.

As someone pointed out earlier, it indeed looks like they are eliminating one professional/semiprofessional and one fresher in every week.

Akshaya once again was superb (I have been rooting for her since the first audition). She puts in so much energy in her songs. Truly chota packet bada dhamaka. Keeping my fingers crossed that she does not get eliminated in the initial rounds.

I thought the elimination choice was good. That old lady was getting too much hype and felt it was undeserving. Though little boy should have been stayed but then there are 2 candidates for elimination. Can't help it. But lady was good riddance.

That lady was from an orchestra. But her singing was pretty average (only a lot of showbazzi) and was unnecessarily hyped so it is good that she was eliminated.

That boy was also average and among the non-professional category others may have been marginally ahead of him so he was eliminated.

Wonder how many will be the final contestants this time.

That girl, Iyer, killed it with her Ram Chahe Leela!

Seriously! I'm so impressed! Original ke bhi aage hai!

Also, was it right of avadhoot to mention that we're giving rajgayika to Kanakshree because she didn't get time to prepare for her 2nd song against Prashant K and still sang?

Every contestant has prepared for a 2nd song, in case they get to compete for the throne of rajgayika or gayak.

I mean just on these grounds she won? It made her victory feel smaller.

Don't give such justifications na. Just give the prize.

Just watch her today as she did the backing chorus for the singer Munnawar. Again she was awesome. Actually as impressive as the main singer. She sings with passion whatever she sings (even if it happens to be only in the chorus)

She certainly is going to go places after this season.

Saw a snippet of her upcoming performance; she sang 'Maahi ve' from Kaante. She is too good and sings way beyond her age.

Some r really blessed with voices that touch yur heart 😀
