Religion is set of beliefs and moral thought propagated through a common value system or doctrine. By definition Christianity is a definition. A religion can be theistic or non theistic, monotheistic or polytheistic. A way of life can be limited to one religion, a mix of various religious doctrines or a personal set value system. When someone integrates a religious value system in their everyday life, it becomes a way of life.

There is a huge difference between politics and religion. Religion is a value based belief system. On the other hand government is a practical system of maintaining order that may or may not aligned with a religious system. Which is why the lack of government system is not a valid reason for denouncing Christianity from being a religion. At the same time the Church and clergy system has organizational roots, in the United States there is a heavy impetus on Christian value based politics and blurring the separation of church and state so claiming Christianity to be devoid of any government activity is a limited claim.

Regarding Catholicism I have heard Christians say 'Catholics are not Christians' and I have heard 'Catholicism is a from of Christianity'. For me they are both western Judeo-Christian monotheistic religion based on anthropologic classification. As for the details the various denominations can fight it out.

Finally Christianity is not the only religion based on sinless, holiness and purity; many religions do that. Even if they do not adhere to the specific doctrine they all promote a sense of morality, value and ethics based lifetyle, compassion and humanity.

All Roads lead to Rome. Let each traveler happily travel the road that suits them best.

The good point i found in Christianity is they update their religion depend upon the changes n time...1 law ,2 law then latest Pop Announse new some laws...its good for a religion...religion is a way of life...its human created laws follow everywhere...If christianity is not a religion then what about Islam/Hindu/Sikh/Budhist? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

My question : Is Christianity a religion?

My View - Christianity is not a religion, its a lifestyle, its the only way to God. If Christianity was a religion, then it would have spoken of governments and parties. But Christianity is about sinless life, holiness and purity. No other religions speaks about holiness, that itself proves that Christianity is not a religion.

Christianity is a religion with specific doctrines and it is based on Bible( it is true ,there is slight differences in Bibles followed by different sections of christianinties- in Kerala there are different sections such as CSI, Marthoma, Catholics, Yacobits, Borthern, Pentacosts etc.,)There is difference in worships also. it is not as simple as a life style. Almost all religinons are speak about sinless life, holiness and purity.
