Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan starrer WAR is making it to the headlines as this multi-starrer action flick has already grossed more than 53 Cr on the first day itself. The sudden increase in the box-office numbers is an indication of how fans have been showering love for their two favorite action stars in Bollywood. The film has been one of the biggest box-office grosses of all time after beating Thugs of Hindostan which saw 52 Cr on the first day.
But, some are already concerned if they will ever see a sequel to this box-office hit!
Now, Tiger and Hrithik have revealed if there will be a chance for War 2. And it all depends on the audience's response in the coming days.
Talking about the same Tiger said, "We are waiting to see how the film is received by the public but part 2 is definitely a possibility, ya."
Hrithik too replied in the affirmative when asked about a sequel of the film. He said "Inshallah. Hopefully. That's the call of the public actually. We'll only make a franchise if they want to see it again. So, that we will know with the numbers and the love that we will get."
Director Siddharth Anand thanked audiences for War’s record-smashing opening and said that he is delighted the film is being hailed as genre-defining in Indian cinema.
He said, “It is truly overwhelming and gratifying to get this kind of love from audiences for our hard work in making War a truly big-screen spectacle. Having two of the biggest action superstars of Indian cinema, we had the immense responsibility to give audiences a never seen before visual experience and I feel hugely validated that people across the country have loved our action entertainer that has pushed the envelope of the action genre in India.”
Currently, War is being titled as the biggest action entertainer of India. The high-octane film that also stars Vaani Kapoor opposite Hrithik Roshan, sees the two superstars pitted in a massive showdown which has mesmerized audiences of all ages across India.
