Discuss : Is it correct that many boys get in to friendship with girls, only to say "Love" at the end?

One girl(friend of mine when i was in college) once said "When I was asked out for the first time, I knew I wanted nothing but friendship from the guy.He was really nice and sweet, but he was also a wonderful friend and I din't want to ruin anything by taking it beyond a platonic relationship. But because I said no to his love, he just moved away and I lost a good friend - I have not bothered because I am clear in my intention from the begining of friendship".

Many girls feel that boys make friendship with them to say "I Love You" at the end,
Is it correct that many boys get in to friendship with girls, only to say "Love" at the end?

not always
some do some just become friend's to say i lov u in the end but some r true to their friends

well the girls should always give a bit of the trust to the boys who their friends, but never give the whole trust u don't know when it can break

trust is something u get less in this world plz try and save it trust the people u have faith on. Girls especailly need guys as friends who can understand her who will be there for her till the end.

No i disagree, not at all many girls feel that. Depends on the society you live in. Western Culture would not feel that as much as Eastern. 😳

I do not think it is correct that Guys only make fiends to say ILY at the end of it. Not certainly with manyof the guys i will daily talk to in school, as that what school is for mixing, talking etc...

Yes i have come across cases where the aim to be friends was to get close, but mostly in daily life no, you talk, become friends and if love happens then it happens naturally....not because that was the intention. šŸ˜›

You cannot blame male hormones.

However, I do not think all boys do that. Boys and girls can be friends and sometimes boys choose to be friends just to be friends.

The problem of being friends and than saying 'Love' is because in Eastern culture dating is frowned upon. In western cultures if a boy is attracted to girl he will ask her out and be straightforward. In Eastern cultures they will not ask a girl out directly as it is taken in a wrong sense and frowned upon. Hence they first try to get to know the girl as friends and then profess feelings. I would not blame the boys for cultural restrictions, unless they are extremely opportunistic and hormonal.

I agree a lot with Anon's views.

I also agree that some guys want to be friends first so they can get close and opportunistic late on!!! šŸ˜†

At the end of the day, you cant control anyone else - only yourself.

Personally, I feel having a friend is a real blessing.

If having found this friend, either you or (s)he develop feelings, need to be careful how you approach it.

To be honest, being the age when all this stuff happens is hard enough...and its agonising when you go through things to know if youre doing it right or wrong...

All you can beis true to yourself and honest to those that matter.

Whoa.....have really strayed from the topic here! Sorry!

Whether be it cultural restrictIons or not, it answers the debate Question 'Is it correct that many boys get in to friendship with girls, only to say "Love" at the end'

As YES😳.šŸ˜† for the subject of guys in Eastern Cultures.

I don't think it's fair to generalize all guys...

Some might really start out as friends and fall into love..

Some might be the type you and Gauri said, "maatlabi" only to get what they want..

And some like Return_to_Hades said, might be shy because of cultural restrictions..

Interesting post 😊
