Types of audience:
(a) Regular cinema goers: there is a sizeable number who watch movies no matter which star. These people are the reason why absolutely flop movies with no star name, get some lakhs in opening day.
(a) The fans: there is the majority audience of a movie, who watch movie because of their favorite is in it. This group is the most important, and this group is the reason why stars get called stars. Although this group also has two division: (a) die hard fans and (b) fair weather fans.
(c) Than there is a sizeable group: The youths, while they generally fall in above category of fans, but sometimes some gimmicks are employed to draw the youth audience, who despite not being fans, go because the movie has certain youth attracting gimmicks like good music, cool funky dance numbers and so on.
(d) There is a small group, you know the ones who watch the trailer impressed by it, come on first day itself.
The other majority group, the family audience generally come in evening shows or second and third day, unless the hype is too huge, that it draws everyone in First Day.
