On Saturday my cinema theatre where Telugu is running has only three people ...while rest of the cinema theatres with Hindi is completely full. It looks like this movie is more popular with North Indians.

Saaho (Hindi) has had the best Sunday of 2019 as it records figures of 29-30 crore nett and this is without much of a release in the South. The film has comfortably beaten the likes of Kabir Singh, Mission Mangal and Bharat. This was a film that was supposed to be a disaster but has seen the best Sunday of the year and solid growth also.

The growth has also come as its a holiday in parts on Monday for Ganesh Chaturthi but that is not across the all Hindi markets. The three day weekend is looking in the 79-80 crore nett which is a fantastic number and second to Bharat only this year.

The film has done excellent business in all circuits and even North is huge with East Punjab over 8 crore nett and Delhi / UP at 17.50 crore nett. Bihar and Odisha are extraordinary at near record levels with Odisha only behind Bahubali - The Conclusion and Bihar behind Bahubali - The Conclusion and Tiger Zinda Hai.

The all India collections of the film could be 200 crore nett depending on the collections in South. There will not be much growth on Sunday in South but there does not need to be to reach 200 crore nett as Hindi markets are so good.

So Harminder predicted Saaho will be a disaster. By his past logic he should put Prabhas above all his faves now... or will he come up with some theory to trash and put down Prabhas like he did for other actors he dislike. 😂

Hindi, Telugu will. Tamil and Malayalam No. But then Tamil (and State of Kerala) did not contribute heavily towards BB1 and BB2.

Not really BB2 was all time blockbuster in both states.

Bahubali grossed over 150 crores in Tamil Nadu, it was the highest grosser in Tamil Nadu before Viswasam broke it.

It was also second highest grosser in Kerala with over 75 crores gross after Pulimurugan by the time, it ended its run.
