Saaho (Hindi) has had the best Sunday of 2019 as it records figures of 29-30 crore nett and this is without much of a release in the South. The film has comfortably beaten the likes of Kabir Singh, Mission Mangal and Bharat. This was a film that was supposed to be a disaster but has seen the best Sunday of the year and solid growth also.

The growth has also come as its a holiday in parts on Monday for Ganesh Chaturthi but that is not across the all Hindi markets. The three day weekend is looking in the 79-80 crore nett which is a fantastic number and second to Bharat only this year.

The film has done excellent business in all circuits and even North is huge with East Punjab over 8 crore nett and Delhi / UP at 17.50 crore nett. Bihar and Odisha are extraordinary at near record levels with Odisha only behind Bahubali - The Conclusion and Bihar behind Bahubali - The Conclusion and Tiger Zinda Hai.

The all India collections of the film could be 200 crore nett depending on the collections in South. There will not be much growth on Sunday in South but there does not need to be to reach 200 crore nett as Hindi markets are so good.

The weekend is 200 crore NETT just in India! That too with "negative" WOM. In-facking-credible! Bollywood should rightfully be freaking ashamed. Even with Hindi being wider reached, it's still getting spanked by the Southern movies in openings. As an industry, it has been so stagnant.

Doesn't that just means people in South India are more movie frenzy just looking at the numbers comparing Hindi vs non Hindi languages!

Nope.

Saaho is STRONGER in HINDI belts and much WEAKER in SOUTH. Even the upward trend is better in Hindi belts.

every boxoffice report states this.

Matlab,lower budgets of films-Things are going to get worse for big films.

Medium budget films with talented directors, star cast will shine.

I am talking about star power,not film business.Why do we care so much about how much a producer pockets? Budget and profit is the producers headache.

The movie had the face of Bahubaali, Prabhas, there is the star power.

People didn't flocked to the theatres just like that.
