I don't agree that her character has been changed. Different facets of ours keep coming out in different situations, with each being different. She has settled her past with Ashok moving out but now is the time to accept that she was equally responsible for her failed marriage. And women needn't be victims always. She has had this ego issue right from the alimony. She keeps accepting that she has this stubborn self attitude but doesn't do anything about it. This shall change perhaps now with HS showing her the mirror. Also, true love also includes pointing out the shortcomings of your partner and get them out of it.

Accept her past? I thought she already did this? She’s been “accepting her past” so often it’s hard to keep track.

I don’t understand why they keep changing her character to suit the storyline. Can a woman really go from being how she was during that 17 years to now claiming it was her ego that contributed to her failed marriage? If they wanted to show babita with this many issues they should have shown hs character without as many past issues cos as it stands it makes it seem like in a 2nd marriage, the baggage a man carries isn’t important.

It feels like to me they keep changing the stories and characters but not always in an evolving way

I think she has moved on from her past but hasn't aceepted her faults. She always thinks she is the victim and everyone surrounding her keeps entertaining her idea of victimhood especially Minnie. For Minnie her babes was always innocent and all white and therefore she saw her father in a black background. What Ashok did is not forgivable but Babitha must have played atleast a small part in the failure of marriage. It is not all black and white like Minnie thinks. It is important for Minnie to understand people can have grey shades. She will be now able to see her parents in different light and take some important lessons.

I don't think her character has changed. Her ego was there since the begining that's why she refused alimomy. And she never thought of Minni's future while doing that. She was ready to destroy Minnie' s future just to satisfy her ego which she calls self respect. I also think she had always tried to keep up her all white image infront of everyone. That's why she kept telling Naembi and everyone she and HS are ony landlord and tenant but in between the walls of haveli she always behaved like his wife. This was again proved when she refused to acknowleddge any kind of rishtha with HS infront of her brother in rakhi episode. And we have seen how she emotionally blackmails Minnie in jewelery episode. So basically her character never changed. Earlier she did not have the confidence to openly show her traits. Now she is confident and her actual self is coming infront of everyone.

As per HS past I think it was important to show his past to justify his approach of love. For him love is unconditional and all consuming unlike Babitha who's love even for her daughter is based on conditions. It will be interesting to see how he deals with Babitha's version of love

True. 2 characters are being butchered and we have to just sit and watch.

Babita saying things like stay in your limits was ok to me. Don’t jump at me but read through... she said it when they had not expressed anything to each other. I fact Babita was still not there as much as HS was in the attraction. He forgave she gave in and it was all good.

Until HS said those harsh words out of character and became all about only Imarti. This too was out of character as yes they show his immense love for her but also his dialogue to his buddy that he would not be able to now live with out Babita disappeared into thin air. Babita took a stance that any woman would should. But the to salvage HS they made it her ego with everyone saying so. Now to justify this they have changed her character too. Now to salvage this they are going to do something else.

If she had so much ego like her friend mentioned, trust me she would not have been able able to maintain that kind of relationship with her ex’s family as they showed her to have. The simplicity is lost. Now she is hurting her ex in laws and HS and eventually Minnie and turn into the negative character to show her negative side( every woman’s negative side in the relationship).

They will show how HS to manage the relationship will do everything and get insulted and loose the charm and strength and sensibility he has had...

Both are butchered and I did not expect this.

What Babita, the dumb woman, did would be a turn off for any man.. One should not change for another person, just to please the person. Showed Babita's immaturity pleading for his sorry. The way HS looked at her, as if he was disgusted or was turned off by her. Mini showed more sensibility and maturity. I also felt she is neglecting Mini and is daydreaming in la la land. Ugh...

Calling babita dumb and a turn off for any man are a word too harsh for any woman. Pls dont forget this the same babita who reduced the distance between hs and his FIL. Who struggled in a loveless marriage and worked literally as a maid for 17 yrs and people walking all over her.

Not at all..Maybe you want get a man's point of view.. I think we all have a different mind set as well as different opinion. My intentions were not to offend anyone. But it is my opinion.

Yes, she did struggle and she chose to be in that situation. Why she did not insist to go with her husband to London? Why she insisted on staying behind taking care of her in-laws? Whose fault is that? And Ashok, living alone in UK, obviously he will have an affair, after all he is a man. What do you expect from man? being faithful in this era, I don't think so.

Babita left the house and opened her business. OK .. good for her. She flip-flops (as someone stated in her post). I agree with that.. I saw negligence towards Mini.. she has been ignoring her somewhat.. They are showing Mini to be more aggressive and matured, something that Babita should be..

BTW, men do get turned off by women's behavior...same as we get turned off by men's behavior..

she is dumn imo. mini is smarter than her at 17 years old.

yes she reduced distance between hs and fil, but not before thinking hs was a murderer and needing to get talked into the fact that he didnt do anything wrong (by naeem bi and mini).

one could question how she ''struggled'' when its suddenly coming to light that all this time shes been about ego and self respect.

i agree ppl walked all over her but what has that taught her?the same ppl whos walked over her is now regarded as her ''parents'' and shes now walking over someone who has shown her nothing but kindness and love.

its the makers fault for showing babitas character as being SO inconsistent. on minute shes a victim and next shes a villain
