Yes, but for me even if it's not connected to the present, it was the visualization of one of my favorites scenes of the show, when HS first tells Minnie about Imarti. I am so so relieved that the scene lived up to my expectations. It was already a masterpiece when narrated by HS and the chances of it being ruined now were high, but I am glad they touched the right cord with it.

Imarti may have died either due to alcohol (not her drinking but someone else being drunk) or domestic abuse.

I quite think the same. It has to be out of domestic abuse and alcohol, all mixed. What if HS was drunk when she died?

PS : Next scene I want is of Imarti breaking his bottle and stopping him from drinking.

This reminds me that the first time HS saw Minnie was when she beat the pull out of Khatri! He sees a lot of Imarti in Minnie ... A strong reason he loves her so much.

I hate to burst anyone's bubble but lately I've been feeling that some of the scenes of HS are a little too similar to Dev from Bandhan (also played by Aniruddh). There too, his wife taught him a similar lesson and stepped on his chest on their wedding night after warning him to stay within his limits. He also got stung by chili.

He had told Minnie to be like Imarti, never be afraid. I think his mind and heart had made that connection ages ago.

Yes, maybe he was drunk or not around when she was about to die and could not come in time to save her or protect her.

I can't wait to watch this fight. Mini and Imarti do share similarities, that's why HS loves her more than Babita too. And that's why we saw her first through Mini, as you'd said. Today when he told her that he has never loved anyone more than Imarti, his voice shook. Evidently, he currently loves Mini more than anyone else.

I could see the subtle pride in his eyes when she says jaisa baap waisi beti. He should be proud of her sherni!

I can't wait for Mini, HS fight it out against all odds. I've a feeling, she'll start addressing her directly as dad by the end. Also, I want justice for Imarti. Who ever it was, whether if it's NB's miyan sahab, I want justice for her.

Even though Sartar is wrong about HS, I absolutely admire and respect the love he has for Imarti. It has been 8 years since her death and he's STILL fighting for her. And he'll continue to do so until he dies. We all know how tough these court cases and can be but he's still carrying on for his only daughter.

It's another kind of love that is completely admirable and I'm glad Minnie will get to see this. Ashok never loved her. HS loves her a lot. But through Sartar she can see that a father's true love for their daughters extend beyond mortal bounds. It's absolutely unconditional and eternal. <3
