One of the most talked-about pre-wedding events is the Sangeet, a celebration of coming together of the two families in the union of their children. The ceremony offers respite from all the hectic seriousness of the wedding preparations. The Agarwal family was busy making the last preparations from their side. They had two functions Sangeet along with engagement of Naina & Sameer.

Sameer was laughing and chatting with all the ladies. Happiness was glowing on his face reflecting the warmth of his heart. Vishaka felt content looking at him, she always wished for Sameer's happiness and it had come true. She pulled Naina aside and asked if they can talk for some time, as she had never interacted with her. Naina happily obliged and guided her to a room where they could talk without any disturbance.

Naina narrated their story, Vishaka laughed to her fullest hearing Sameer's antics. They talked about Sameer , about his likes and dislikes." Tumse thodi der baatein karke hi pata chal gaya mujhe Sameer ne tumhe kyun chuna. Bahut hi saaf dil hai tumhara bilkul mere Sameer ki tarah. Haan usko gussa jaldi aata hai par dil ka bura nahi. Uske dil mein jagah banana mushkil hai par ek baar dil mein basa le to pyar tutke karega. Uski zindagi mein bas papa aur yeh do bandar Munna Pandit the ab tum aa gayi ho toh mai bahut khush houn. Sahi jeevan Saathi chuna hai Sameer ne. Bas mai hi " she trailed off saying this .

"Aunty ji matlab Mummy ji mai nahi janti aapke aur Samer ke beech tanav ki wajah kya hai par itna zaroor janti houn woh aapse bahut pyar karta hai par jatana nahi aata. Us pyar ko gusse mein dhal deta hai ,shayad darta hai kahin dil na tut jayein. Par pyar se samjayenge to ek dum bacha hai jhat se maan bhi jata hai" she smiled and responded

" Janti houn aur kahi na kahi meri hi galti hai. Jab tak Sameer ke papa the tab tak sab kuch accha tha, hum bahut khush the. Par unke jane ke baad meri jab dusri shaadi ho gayi ,mai naye ghar ko sambhaltein sambhaltein Sameer ki khwaishoun ko nazar andaz karne lagi . Jaan bhuj kar nahi par ho gaya. Shayad kahi yeh darr tha ki sauteli maa hai isliye khayal nahi rakha.Yeh ilzam lena mere liye gawara nahi tha. Jab Sameer apne aapko Rohan se behatar prove karne ke liye har cheez mein number one aane laga toh maine usi ka sahara liya .Woh aage bade, aise hi first aayein har imtihan mein, isliye maine kabhi uski taarif nahi ki. Jab bhi woh koi medal lekar aata ya first aata exams mein mai mandir jakar gariboun ko khana khilati. Unki dua mere bete ko lage aur woh khoob taraki karein. Mai dil se chahati thi ki usko beinteha pyar karne wali patni mile. Ab tum mili ho sabka pyar tum dena usko " saying this she blessed Naina.

Sameer who was listening to this conversation didn't understand why his mother had never spoken about it to him and she could easily pour her heart out to Naina, his Naina. " Meri Naina, hai hi pari koi uske charm se bach kaise sakta hai" with a sense of pride he said to himself. He felt bad that he couldn't understand his mother. Many things in life hold different perspectives and many a time we hold on to our own thoughts and bring barriers in relationships. Today he had got the most beautiful person as his soul mate and the pain he had held for so long had finally got healed.

" Arey Mausi aap yahan ho ,chaliye sab dhund rahein hai aapko, chaliye " Munna Pandit took Vishaka away.

Naina still lost in the thoughts was walking towards the main hall where the Sangeet function was about to begin. She was suddenly pulled into a tight hug by Sameer. He held her as if a kid holds onto his precious toy. She could feel some drops of tears on her shoulders, moving a little away she held his face in her palms and asked with all the love and worry" Kya huva Sameer, roo kyun rahein ho? Mummy ji aur meri baatein suni tumne ? . He didn't say anything but just pulled her towards him in a tight embrace. Right now he just needed her closeness. Naina allowed him and held him close. The warmth from her embrace enveloped his mind in a thin casing of security.

" Aaj mere dil mein jo ek dard tha woh mit gaya Naina. Maa ki baatein Dettol ki tarah thi jo mere dil se nafrat ke bacteria ko maar diya aur tumhara pyar ek ointment hai jo us par thand , I mean coolness de raha hai " he said still holding her close.

"Dettol , Ointment ??? " Naina smiled and looked at his face which had few tears.

"Aisa emotional dialogue toh maine kisi film mein nahi suna "

"Haan mere jitna creative thodi koi milega" he raised his imaginary collar. The smile was back.

"Aise hi haste raho acche lagte ho " she said holding his face in her palms rubbing the tears with her thumb.

" Ab chale? warna sab dhundetein huve yahan aayenge".

"Hmmm , chaltein hai itni kya jaldi hai. Ab ek kiss de do, meetha mila hi nahi" he whispered near her ear pulling her again into a gentle comforting hug.

To his surprise, she pulled away from him and smiled, a brilliant sight that made her eyes sparkle and face glow. Thoda intezaar ki jiye Mr. Maheswari, itni bechaini" .

" Kab tak? " he asked sulking.

" Jo bhi meetha chahiye sab shaadi ke baad" she laughed at him and ran towards the party hall.

" Arey Sangeet mein mere bina kya karogi,ruko" combing his fingers he ran behind her.

Vishaka was talking to Chachiji and handing over the gifts and sagun for the engagement. " Time nahi tha , raat mein hi bataya Munna ne toh zyada kuch la nahi payi."

Chachiji looking at the gifts said " Bhagwan Jhooth na bulayein behenji yeh toh bahut hai "

" Mummy aap yeh sab layi Naina ke liye? " he questioned her a bit surprised.

"Mere bade bete ki engagement hai , ab itna hi ho paya. Tune pehle bataya hota toh aur bhi tayari karti. "

Overwhelmed by this gesture, he hugged his mother. Naina was looking at them " Chalo ek rishte sulajne laga hai " she said to herself.

The engagement rituals were done and rings were exchanged. Later mother, son duo teased Naina and had fun. Vishaka had tears, it had been a long time since Sameer sat with her like this and laughed. She thanked Naina for helping her in mending the broken relationship.

Sangeet was fun with everyone dancing and teasing each other. Songs of friendship, love, bidai were played. Preeti, Munna, and Pandit danced till their feet hurt. Sameer chose all the romantic numbers causing his sweetheart blush to the core. Naina reciprocated his feelings with the same enthusiasm and teased him.

The marriage was done with all the rituals and Sameer didn't miss any chance to tease his Naina and kept asking about his Meetha.

" Ab toh official license hai ,ek meetha toh banta hai na , de do plzzz. Aise apne pati ko tarsate nahi paap lagega tumhe " he said sulking when his all attempts had failed.

" Ji abhi aapke pass learner license hai , official abhi 6 months baad. Waise aap abhi mere pati nahi hone wale pati hai.. toh thoda dhiraz rakhiye " she countered him.

" Thik hai hone wali Mrs. Maheswari, sab note karke rakha hai, gin gin ke hisaab lounga.. aise hi MBA topper nahi houn. 6 months hai be ready my honey " he said huskily causing butterflies in her stomach to flutter.

Looking at Pooja di crying during bidai, he wondered how these delicate and fragile looking girls have such strong hearts " Sach mein tum ladkiyoun ka dil bahut bada hota hai, apno ko chodke kisi aur ke gharwaloun ko apna banati ho, savarti ho, ek nayi duniya basati ho. Par Tum itna mat rona mai dekh nahi paaonga, jab mann karein milne aa jana apne maike waloun se . " holding her hand he said with all the concern and love. She smiled at him with teary eyes, thinking how lucky she was to have a guy like Sameer as her partner.

Many hearts were broken when the news of Sameer getting engaged was known in college.

" Namaste Bhabhi!", Rohan tried to touch her feet she stopped him " iski zaroorat nahi hai. Kaise ho? "

" Mai thik.houn. Sorry woh aapki engagement mein aa nahi paya ,woh exams the aur Daddi "

" Koi baat nahi ,ab toh mil rahein hai ,shaadi mein toh mai khud leke chaloungi tumko. " she understood his limitations.

" Bhabhi yeh aapke liye mera gift , Bhaiya ke saare photos hai bachpan se leke aaj tak " he handed her the album. She excitedly picked it up " Sameeeeer ke bachpan ki photoooos. She saw each one with utmost interest admiring his cute antics, his smile , his anger, his cuteness. She could keeping looking at them for her whole life. "Yeh toh mai baad mein dekhoungi aaram se Sameer ke saath. Thank you yeh sabse accha aur anmol gift diya hai tumne."

" Kahan se mili? "she asked.

"Maine collect ki hai kuch mummy se , kuch nanu ke pass se aur kuch khud kheechi hai chup kar"

" Chup kar kyun?" She asked looking at the photos with a sweet smile on her lips.

" Woh Bhaiya ko mai pasand nahi houn na isliye" lowering his eyes. Naina understood that Rohan felt the guilt of creating tension between his mother and Sameer. She consoled him and said he should not feel guilty and she will talk to Sameer.

Sameer flared up seeing Rohan sitting with Naina" Yeh timetable tu yahan kaise, chal nikal " .

Rohan left quietly. Naina could clearly see tears at the brim of his eyes.

" Yeh yahan kyun aaya tha?? He said angrily

" Juice piyoge?? Ya kuch tanda ?? She asked calmly.

" Mai pucha kya raha houn aur tum kya keh rahi ho??

" Agar aaram se baat karni hai to bolo, nahi toh jab gussa tanda ho jayein aa jaana tab baat karenge " saying this she got up.

" Sorry Naina, plz mat jao tum bhi chod ke mere gusse se" he held her wrist.

The melancholy voice wretched her heart . She sat next to him holding his hand. " Mai kahi nahi joungi Sameer tumhe chod ke . Kabhi nahi." she assured him in a soothing tone.

After a while yeh dekho she opened the album and showed his childhood pictures. He took it excitedly " Yeh kahan se mili tumhe? He was going through each one carefully. Mixed emotions trickled down in the form of tears.

" Yeh toh abhi recent wali hai. Mai ,Munna aur Pandit sab khush the , jab mujhe ehsaas huva tha tumse pyar huva hai karke aur plan ban raha tha tumhe patane ka . kisne khichi hai? " he asked her

"Yahi dene Rohan aaya tha , usne collect ki hai aur kuch usne chup kar tumhari khichi hai.. dekho kuch tags bhi hai.. time aur kis situation par"

As he observed each one carefully " Par Kyun? "

" Kyun ki woh tumse bahut pyar karta hai, bada bhai manta hai. Usko lagta hai ki woh wajah hai jiske karan tum aur Mummy dur huve. Dekho Sameer usne bhi apni maa khoyi hai aur Mummy ne uski kami puri ki par tumhare bina uski yeh khushi adhuri hai ". She explained how sometimes we have to share an let go off few things to make relationships better. Sameer could now understand that Rohan was no n were responsible for this.

" Chalo utho Rohan se milte hai?? Maafi maang na tum usse?"

" Maafi mai ?? Mai bada houn usse " he argued.

" Bade galti nahi karte?? Chalo ab mujhe kuch nahi sunna" saying this she pulled him.

Rohan was sitting under a tree thinking about how to mend this broken relationship with his brother. Seeing both of them he stood up. " Bhabhi aap? " Naina looked at Sameer and signaled to say sorry.

Sameer shyly moving his hand over his neck.

" Woh Mai, mai woh... Mai tumse bada houn sorry to nahi bolunga par gale lag jaa timetable. Kuch toh badla hai teri zindagi mein , sorry Rohan for everything" he hugged his brother. Naina was happy that another broken relationship was healed." Later the three had a long discussion about various topics including his role in the marriage so that he should not skip it..

Sanjay met Naina and congratulated her. He teased Naina " Tumse dosti ki shart lagayi thi yeh sochke tum usse dosti nahi karogi, par usne tumhara dil hi chura liye. Manna padega Mr. Maheswari ka charm " they both laughed at this.

Sameer who observed this from far didn't like it and went away. That day he behaved strangely in the class. After classes, Naina who had observed him asked " Kya huva , yun sadi huvi shakal kyun banayi hai?".

" Sanjay ko tumne rakhi bandi hai par phir bhi uske saath haste huve dekha toh accha nahi laga" he said with slight anger.

" Oh ho! Mr Possessive Sameer , is mein gussa hone wali kya baat hai.? Agar rakhi bhi nahi bandti tab bhi mai kisi aur ladke se baat nahi kar sakti? Bharosa nahi hai mujhpar? In future I may have to talk to other men, har baar tumko explaination deti rahoun? Har rishte ki buniyad bharosa hai hai, agar oh nahi toh kuch nahi ,pyar bhi nahi. " she said a bit disappointed.

" Sorry Naina, mai is tarah nahi socha. Pata nahi kyun gussa huva. Tumhare saath mai har waqt rehna chahata houn shayad aaj subah se mili nahi toh.. but I know its not an excuse.Sorry " he held his ears.

" Ek dil hai aur bas tumhare liye dhadakta hai, budhu aur no sorry no thank you MPK nahi dekhi?" she smiled and ruffled his hair.

" Dekhi hai . Par kabhi kabhi kehna zaroori hota hai. Accha yeh sab chodo Chennai Express ke movie tickets laya houn, chalo bahar hi dinner karke mai drop kar dunga tumhe. He loved watching movies with her not because he loved it but he would get full 3 hrs with her plus ample opportunities to tease her. The ambiance also boosted his romantic mood.

The movie was fun. With Sameer by her side and his witty remarks, any boring or crying scene would make her laugh. The proximity was affecting him, " So irrestibleeeee ! " he said looking at her lips.

"Kyaaaa? "

"Arey baba tumhare hothoun ko nahi , yeh dairy milk jo kha rahi ho usko ko , do na ek bite akele akele hi kha rahi ho"

Taking a bite he murmered "socha tha Love Story jaisi romantic novel padti hai to badi romantic hogi , yeh to bilkul Naina devi hai aur unromantic. Connnntroooll Sameer ! " he told to himself.

"Kya !! " Kuch nahi Sharukh keh raha hai na Control nahi hota .. bas wahi repeat kar raha houn

"Naina who listened to this felt like kissing him at that instant but controlled her emotions" nahi sab shaadi ke baad hi" . Sameer respected her boundaries and she knew he was trying hard to control his emotions. She gave a quick peck on his cheeks and said: "mai romantic houn ya nahi shaadi ke baad dekh lena ."

Sameer was shocked for a few minutes and didn't react but Mr. Maheswari was back with full force,

He moved closer leaning a bit whispered near her ear "Shaadi ke baad kaun kitna romantic hai dekhte hai baad mein " Her face deepened to crimson, and her dilating eyes dropped to his lips before flying up again.

"Ab toh dusra gaal naaraz hai ek aur de do " he told in a teasing tone placing the finger on his cheek.

"Pagal ho tum , sach mein ! . Ab movie dekhne do " she pushed him away

While watching Deepika kicking Sharukh, Sameer moved a little closer to her and asked " Tum is Meena amma ki tarah , apna papa ka purana scooter samaj kar kick toh nahi karogi na? matlab tumko bhi aise koi aadtein nahi hai na ".

Naina hit him playfully " Kuch bhi ! , tum toh kharatein nahi marte na ? " she questioned back

"Haan mai toh zor zor se khartein leta ho " he teased her.

"Tab toh mujhe alag kamre mein sona padega " she replied casually.

"Aisa dubara mat kehna , studio apartment le lounga phir kahan jaogi bachke. Ek raat kya ek lamhe ke liye bhi apne se dur nahi rakhunga." .

"Itna pyar karte ho mujhse ? "

" I love you moon to the back, nahi rukho yeh bhi to finite ho gaya. my love is limitless, just like infinity, kyun ki tum itna pyar jo karti ho" he said fondly looking into the eyes.

After a while he was tilting his head and making some observations looking at her.

"Aise kya dekh rahe ho? " she questioned him

"Thodi moti ho, par mai tumhe utha hi lunga , jaise abhi Shahrukh ne Deepika ko uthaya hai " he said still observing her from top to bottom.

"Sameerrrrrr ! Moti houn ? Utha nahi paoge ?? Jao ab mai toh tumse baat hi nahi karti "

"Aise naaraz ho jaogi to mai yahi utha lunga tumhe apni bahoun pe, bas hum to tumhari haan ke intezaar mein hai " .

"Bas aisi baatein karke manaoge , mai nahi manti "

"Tum jaisi ho mujhe waisi hi acchi lagti ho, aage chal ke tum moti bhi ho jao toh meri liye aaj jo ho waise hi rahogi, tum budhi bhi ho jaogi tab bhi tumko uthaounga . Mera pyar kabhi bhi nahi kam hoga , har din aur badega" he held her in side hug.

"Ab aise rooti huvi shakal mein tum kitni cute lagti ho , and he gave a quick peck on her cheeks.

" Mai dusre gaal par bhi de sakta houn, tumhari tarah kanjoos nahi houn" he said smirking making her laugh.

"Aaj ek vaada karta houn Mrs. hone wali Maheswari, har raat aapko mai apni bahoun mein leke bed tak jaounga , apni zindagi ke aakhri din tak" . Holding her hand he promised her. She held his upper arm and laid her head on his shoulder for the rest of the movie.

Vishaka called Chachaji and asked if she can take Naina for her shopping. The wedding was in three months but later both Sameer and Naina would be busy with exams hence Vishaka thought it would be better if they finish it early. A few weeks were spent buying all the dresses, sarees and wedding dresses for both. Vishaka ordered jewelry of the latest designs. Naina felt like a princess the way Vishaka and Sameer were treating her and taking care of each and everything. Vishaka always took Naina's opinion in the selection of dresses, jewelry which Sameer admired a lot.

Exams were not a big deal for both and completed them without any tensions. They both restricted their outings and movie dates. After the last day of the exam, "Naina, tum ghar chali jaougi na kuch din mei , ek hafta tumhe dekhe bina kaise guzaroun ka mai"

"Mai bhi miss karoungi . Par ek hafte ke baad hum hamesha ke liye saath honge yeh soch kar guzar lenge, aur mai har din tumse baat toh karti rahoungi na ."

"Accha aaj ab aur aadha din baki hai na, chalo tumhare kuch shopping kar lenge ? "

"Sab toh ho gayi hai Sameer aur kuch baki nahi hai" .

" Hai baki tumne nahi liye." he told her in a very low tone.

" Kya lena baki hai Sameer , tum toh the saath mein sab toh liye?? she questioned him.

"Woh ghar ke matlab raat pe pehen ke liye toh kuch liya nahi hai"

" Raat ke liye pyjamas liye hai maine , woh Ahmedbad gayi thi tab . sab naye hi hai "

" Naina raat mein tum Pyjamas pehnogi , shaadi ke baad ?? " he questioned raising his eyebrows .

"Mummyji kuch aur kharide hai, woh jab tumko kuch lane ke iye bheja tha tab" she almost whispered shyly. He saw her blushing and understood his mother had taken care of the other things as well.

His voice turned husky "Aurrr tumne dikhaye nahi mujhe ". Looking at his intense gaze, her lips quivered eyes squeezed tighter and goosebumps erupted everywhere. She turned her face and hid it with her hands.

He turned towards her and then taking her hands he kissed them. "Ab ke liye bas itna hi " he said and moved away to control his own emotions. They walked for a while

"Naina waise ek aur baat karni thi tumse, infact ek opinion leni thi. Mai socha raha tha hum Ahmedbad shift hotein hai. Mai Nanu ka business dekhna chahata houn aur use aur expand karna chata houn. Isse wahan ke logoun ko bhi bahut madad hogi. Maine dekha hai Delhi mein log apne ghar aur apno ko chodke rozi roti ke liye aatein hai. Atleast Ahmedbad mein hum logoun ko job opportunities dila sakte hai . Kya kehti ho ? Tumko thik laga ?"

She was proud of him, he had inculcated his Nanu's character. " Mai toh bahut khush ho. Isse acchi baat kya ho sakti hai " and hugged him tightly.

"Naina itne tighly pakdogi to bahut kuch hota hai " she instantly moved away hearing this.

Sameer and Naina informed Vishaka about shifting to Ahmedabad and their future plan. She was proud of them. Daddi who was listening to all this said " Chote logoun se rishta rakhoge toh aisi choti soch hogi"

"Daddi ji khud ko hamesha sabse upar rakhna aur dusroun ko neeche nazar se dekhana yeh aapki soch hai. Sabko leke aage badhna yeh Nanu ki socho hai aur jo aaj Sameer ki parvarish mein dekhti hai. Khud se pehle dusroun ki khushi sochna sabki bas ki baat hoti nahi hai. Khair yeh aap samjhengi nahi. " This ddin't go well but Sameer was very happy that Naina could stand against Daddi.

"Daddi ji Ek baat puchni thi aapse , kya aap har subah karela ka juice peeti hai ?"

"Haan tabhi toh itni fit houn " Daddi replied proudly

"Isliye aapki zaban bhi kadvi hai , kabhi kabhi meetha kha li jiye , shayad zuban aapki meethi ho jaye "

Daddi fumed and left from there.

Later Sameer and Naina laughed remembering it. "Thank you, Naina for supporting me "

"Yahan Thank you bilkul nahi chalega. Kuch rishte dur se hi acche hotein hai. Tumhari Jeevan saathi houn aur tumhara saath dena mere farz hai. Kal koi mujhe kuch bolega toh tum khade honge na mere saath?". He admired her clarity in thoughts, the way she conveyed and each situation she showed with a different perspectives.

"Naina tum writer acchi ba sakti ho. Try karna kabhi "

She looked at him puzzled " Yeh toh mera sapna hai , par maine kisi ko nahi kaha aaj tak. "

"Ab se tumhara har sapna mai poora karunga. Likhna shuru kardo meri Lihika and pulled her in a tight embrace "

That one week of separation was very hard for both of them. Even though they talked they missed seeing each other and the company. Most nights they could not sleep thinking about each other.

"Spano mein to har din sata rahi ho, sach mein kab bahoun mein aaogi. yaar yeh kal kab hogi kab mai apni Naina ko dekhunga"

Marriage was a fun affair for all. Sameer had ensured all the functions at Naina said were well-taken care. The wedding planners had ensured Haldi, Mehendi and Sangeet functions as per the rituals and lots of fun. Finally, the marriage day arrived. Naina looked eternal in the red Saree. As she walked towards him he looked at her with all the love "Bhai mu band kar, sab dekh rahe hain " Pandit whispered to Sameer. Coming back to his senses he blushed at the thoughts that his mind had conjured. Sameer and Naina followed all the rituals instructed by the Panditji.

After filling her maang with the sindoor and tying the mangal sutra she was now Mrs. Maheshwari. Leaning a little closer to her "Ab toh official license mil gaya hai toh Mrs. Maheswari ready ho jayiye , gin gin ke hisab lounga jitna tadpaya hai na yeh che mahino mein apne woh bhi interest ke saath" , Naina held her pallu nervously thinking about what next was to come , feeling the warmth of color invading her cheeks, she looked away.
