Ra was so irresponsible with it

It was actually so silly to watch

Exactly my thoughts. The writers needed a magical sword and they brought in another tandav dance for it. The script was really silly. I mean why Tandav for making Ra aware that Pi recognized him and then making him do something so out of character as being careless with a blessed/sacred thing. That too not just one but twice. (ultimately that was the only action Ra had with the sword)

If a magical sword was what was needed, then they could easily have made Pi having one in her adda (which Romi or Divi would not have removed) and she could have made it's strike fatal by doing magic on it or by Bichoo poison.

A sword from Shivji and a tandav for it would have been impressive when it was written in as an ultimate weapon to destroy Pi.
