Also was Padmavat her biggest blockbuster till date ? And did she announce the superhero movie at the heel of Padmavat's release ? Don't think so...

She said late last year that she is doing a Superhero film. Mentions no script.

Deepika told Filmfare “Yes, I’m working on it. I hope it happens. There’s no script as yet. It’s something my friend and I are developing. I was in the plane with a friend from the industry and talking about the movies we’d like to make. We realised that this superhero film is something we’d like to make. It’s a seed we’re nurturing.”

Announced 3 months back, not last year.

Deepika's movie was just an idea she discussed with an industry friend (told by herself in FF interview) it neither had a script nor any producers. There was no announcement just some hearsay and one quote from her.

Again this is not an announcement... Announcements are when the main people (producers, directors or actor) announce the project.... Here she is talking about an idea, that she is working on... I am sure other directors also work on ten different ideas at one time, but the project starts only when they make an official announcement..... Like SLB was nurturing 3 different ideas, before announcing the movie with Salman and Alia...

@hantel : what you have shared also doesn't fall into announcement as it's not official ..... Also as the blind says, the makers have quietly shelved it and instead working on a small, so who are those makers, which small movie are they working on ? If any maker had taken up Deepika's project and we're ready to invest 300 crore, wouldn't we have gotten more articles discussing it ?

Doesn't make sense in a blind... It can never be decoded if they make it gender neutral..
