Do aspiring filmmakers have to compromise to make it big?

I've heard of casting couch and sleeping around for actors. Do aspiring filmmakers ; writers, AD's have to compromise to achieve a position?

I guess the producer's claws are everywhere so yeah. Let's take Sid. He was an AD on my name is Khan and the rest is history. So am sure there are many like him.

Ofcourse! Part of the reason nepokids have it so easy is because they are friends with the producers. Opportunity ke saath saath the entire crew is at your beck and call.

a filmmaker is more or less like a puppet also u see very less of them to be considered eye-candies to be sleeping around. i can't think of anyone maybe punit malhotra...

but there r filmmakers who hv openly admitted that they had sex with their actors for benefits and opportunities. one of them i remember is ONIR
