Kabir Singh Has Huge First Weekend

Kabir Singh had an excellent first weekend of 70 crore nett plus as the Saturday figures came in a little higher than previously estimated. The shocker is Nizam / Andhra as its final weekend collections are heading to over 4 crore nett and this area has already seen the original Telugu film. The circuit had the highest numbers after the top three circuits of Mumbai, Delhi / UP and East Punjab.

The Sunday of 27.75 crore nett are a record for the year as it beat the 25.50 crore nett of Bharat by a margin and the 24 crore nett of Total Dhamaal. The Sunday ensures a solid hold for the film on Monday though how strong will be only known on the day.

The film has beaten all records of previous Shahid Kapoor starrers by huge distances and is already his highest solo NETT grosser. The weekend is not that far of the big budget multi star cast film Padmaavat. If we look at the weekends this year then Bharat is top at 90 crore nett on Eid and this film is just 20 crore nett short of that. Total Dhamaal is next best with nearly 61 crore nett. The business of Kabir Singh till date is as follows.

Saturday - 23,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 27,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 70,75,00,000 apprx

The footfalls of this film are much higher than the weekend numbers makes it look. Despite the number being around 22% less than Bharat, the footfalls may well be just 10% less than Bharat or even under 10%.

Kabir Singh emerged with the highest Sunday of the year and that too with a healthy gap of 2 crore nett plus from Bharat and on normal pricing at multiplexes. The mass centres recorded huge collections on Sunday as the film got an all India figure of around 28 crore nett.

The bigger Sundays come when the mass audience is coming in numbers. The top three Kabir Singh, Bharat and Total Dhamaal are the top films in mass centres this year and that is reflected in the highest Sunday collections. Kesari also had mass acceptance but it was lopsided towards North India.

The other film to get over 20 crore nett was Gully Boy which actually had the best numbers in metros like Mumbai Pune and Bangalore. The Sunday figures in these places were the best of the year but it fared poorly outside big cities. An Uri - The Surgical Strike came into owns post the first weekend and then went on a huge run.

Ok i understand that Kabir was wrong in some parts but so was Preeti, what i don’t understand is why always men r targeted when they do wrong, why there is silence on women’s part? (I’m a girl by the way lol) In this movie too, there is no one judging preeti but all r blaming Kabir, guys preeti was also wrong, but who the hell are we to judge them n their love for each other, Kabir was a damaged man, he was just like this, too bossy and all but he toned it down a bit with Preeti, n she fell for the first boy who gave attention to her, they both were right n wrong in their own ways!

What i find hilarious is that whenever a girl slaps a boy, there is justification oh she hasn’t other choice/ he was misbehaving etc etc, but when a boy slaps a girl, the whole world stands with her n that man is just tagged an abuser without even looking at the circumstances, in this movie too, they both hit each other but why only kabir is being tagged an abuser?? They both r abusers according to me lol as m so against all this slapping n all😂

I just hope that we start treating men n women equally n give respect to both of them!

Kabir Singh Emerges A Blockbuster

Kabir Singh has emerged the second blockbuster of the year as the film has a huge Monday. The film is looking to collect around 17 crore nett on Monday and this number could be higher when figures from mass centers come in.

The Monday collections are the highest ever when ticket pricing is left at normal levels. The previous best was Sultan which had done around 15 crore nett on Monday. Its just an insane hold with collections dropping just 15% or maybe even less from Friday and that Friday was at 20 crore nett levels. The film is trending better than the smaller content films which open in the 3-5 crore nett ranges.

Kabir Singh will probably challenge Uri - The Surgical Strike as the biggest HIT of the year. The trend is not as strong as that film as Uri - The Surgical Strike showed a big jump on Monday. But the advantage with Kabir Singh is a huge first week to collect a big share and also better business in single screens where the share is better. The Kabir Singh four day business will be around 88 crore nett and it will hit a century in just five days.

Bharat couldn’t even be a hit and here Kabir Singh is a blockbuster
