Will Don series come to an end? Shah Rukh Khan is not interested!

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero which received mixed reviews from the audience and since then fans are waiting for the superstar to announce his next project. However, when SRK opted out of Saare Jahaan Se Achha and Don 3, fans were disappointed. Post which there were reports stating Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor or Vicky Kaushal might be the probable choices for the film.

But as per the recent reports, it seems that the Don franchise has come to an end. According to Deccan Chronicle, Shah Rukh Khan is not interested in being a part of the franchise anymore and hence Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar might not make Don 3 after all. The report further states Farhan Akhtar doesn't have a script doesn't have a plot and the news of other actors taking over the series is absolutely baseless.

It seems that SRK is completely focusing on the content now as his past few films turned out to be a disappointment for the fans. Meanwhile, the actor will be dubbing for Mufasa in The Lion King. Also, Aaryan Khan, SRK's elder son, will be dubbing for Simba in the movie.

SRK will continue this franchise, it's a hit one after all. He doesn't want any other actor especially Ranveer to have this project, but at the same time he wants to act uppish about it.

i never understand that how come this news about other actors doing the film keeps coming when they don't even have a plot or a story. If its a PR gimmickry then I feel sorry for everyone involved in this. It's a pity to be in fake news for no reason whatsoever

I don't think Farhan/Excel is very interested either.. had Raees done 'exceptionally well' maybe, but I think the only way ahead is to cancel/end it.

Besides there's so much you can do with a 'narcissistic bad guy'. It wears off really quick.

Ok. I never watched it.

But i remember there were some articles that quoted producer Ritesh and also Farhan saying that script is in process.

But it's still a franchise that can still easily generate interest and can do well, if made well.
