SPM~ MyMusings~ 10.6.19 ~ Throw one off the scent

By now Kainat has learnt to ward off all suspicions of her falsehood in the wrong direction. For she knows her family’s current weakness which is to get to the bottom of whatshe really feels. In her unique style when ever she needs to lie, she pulls themantle of her chunni over her head. For years I suspect she has carried herselfin the house with her emotions bottled up inside her.

Now with sighting of the Eid moon, which Mainjaan declares ,in great celebratory spirit. For Kainat it becomes an occasion to furthermore keep up appearances. Giving everyone the impression that there is sincere truth in every word she speaks. This Eid is exceptional for the family ,as the lost sheep of the family have returned to the fold.

Kainat gives the impression of all is forgiven and forgotten with Saltanat as she bids her Eid greetings. Kainat can sense Saltanat’sunease at her wholeheartedly marrying Humza. Kainat feels a certain hold over Saltanatwhen she wants an assurance from her if she has really forgotten Zaroon ? Kainat’sattitude is more or less on the lines of don’t ask questions and you wont get a lie! Her emphatically no Zaroon doesn’t love her line is enough to give a falsesense of well being to both Saltanat and Zaroon! Kainat does enjoy their sense of complacency, for its just what she needs to do her own bit now!

As usual inhis moment with Saltanat, Zaroon continues to play his repetitive Sufiyana line of asking Saltanat to say the three words to him..now that Kainat is well out ofthe equation of their love. Saltanat true to her play of hard to get , continues to withhold confessing her love to him.

Kainat watches them from far and muses, Zaroon is one person she will never forget and this too in her minds eye Kainat warns, that its unlikely that she’ll marry Humza. For its very likely that she will marry Zaroon. Meanwhile let all around her follow the false lead she gives themthat she will marry Humza as its what her elders have arranged for them and tohonour family traditions is her duty.

Celebrating the sighting of the moon also brings, sweetness, good health, harmony and good will between the whole family. Mainjaan also makes two important announcements. Firstly, about Kainat and Humza’s wedding on the fourth day after Eid! now that all doubts have been clarified. Secondlythat Saltanat will be engaged to Zaheer onthe day of Humza and Kainat’s waleema. All are shocked at this second news.

The scene is interesting, as Mainjaan was merely acting upon the idea that Zaroon had mooted before him. Zaroon suggested this idea on the pretext of throwing Kainat off his back. But now I cansee , that what Zaroon expected was that Saltanat would reject the idea and confess before all that she loves Zaroon. But in reality things didn’t quite happen the way he expected.

However Zaroonis no straight clean player either. What he also banks upon is the on-goingrivalry between the two sisters Kainat and Saltanat. Lo and behold! That’s exactlywhat happens. Where Saltanat crucified Kainat yesterday before the whole familyby accusing her she didn’t love Humza but still was marrying him.Today Kainat grills Saltanat when she rejects an alliance with Zaheer because she doesn’t wantto marry him. It’s Kainat who reveals the reason for Saltanat’s rejection of Zaheer. It’s because Saltanat loves Zaroon! I would say Zaroon ‘s motive is fulfilled.

In all fairnes,s again Mainjaan wants a confirmation from Saltanat, but her lips are sealed. Then its Kainat who snatches away the brief joy she gave Zaroon in telling allthat Saltanat loves Zaroon! By disclosingto all that Saltanat’s lips are sealed because someone withholds her fromspeaking the truth! Zainab is petrified what If Saltanat exposes her? Saltanat fumblesherself out of the sticky scenario by saying its her private affair. The tablesturn, today it’s Kainat’s day to pay back in the same coin! she got from Saltanat. Allpresent ask Kainat if she knew who the person is? But tongue in cheek, Kainat declines telling tales and suggests they ask Saltanat about the identity of the person.

Kainat I reckon, is pleased to see Zaroon’s restlessness, he flaps like a fish gasping for air. Heis desperate to know who this new obstacle that has reared its head between him and Saltanat. With some difficulty he has managed to remove Kainat out of theirSufiyana love equation and now this!

Zaroon needof revolving around Saltanat will keep throwing him back to Neelam. She knowsbut he’s best asking Saltanat herself as she cannot afford to break her friends confidence! In this scene Zainab ‘sguilt makes her become an eavesdropper, only catching on to stuff that she is guilty off.

Zainab in panic !has to tell her daughter to get off Saltanat’s back! and also to quit pressingabout this person as it might expose and disgrace her mother! In this final scene I find that Kainat also dupes her own mother. She lets Zainab believe that Humza is hers and Zaroon is Saltanat’s. But this is all to keeps all’s scent off herreal intentions. Kainat believes she is for the first time using her own initiative. Her mother in particular should show faith in her. Kainat is one loner, who haslost faith in all.. Zainab ,Mainjaan .. she was the apple of his eye and inthis episode the manner in which he beckons, both Zaroon and Saltanat for Eid blessings is almost as if Mainjaan has accepted this pair with his whole heart. Kainat at that point watched, but her stubborn resolve not to take but to snatch Zaroon! fromSaltanat is her prime goal in life.Togive Saltanat a lifelong defeat. Meanwhile she will keep up appearances. Let all believe, that Kainat is to wed Humza… 11.6.19 Hamlet53.

Zaroon in the episode was out and out, Selfish Love! Even in the precap: amidst the Eid festivities, all he wants to know from Saltanat is who holds her back from confessing her love to him? Seems the creatives are putting their all in painting Kainat as the dark angel. I am beginning to despair, if I'll ever get to see the poetic, playful dove again? Love has brought out the negative in her..

thanks lonelythots and Irshita and others, for graciously helping me to run my posts... love hammie

Hello hammie,

I am almost at the end of my tether. Zaroon-sultanat are stuck in this phase for long. I think it’s time , sultanat is freed from her promise and she confesses and they move on. I genuinely do hope, they don’t still continue to have Zainab plead for kainaat’s case in front of sultanat just to have some conflict in saroon story. Sultanat and zaroon are supposedly the lead pair and they seem to have a weak conflict in their story to keep them going and expect viewers to invest in their story.

Kainat wouldn’t really mind throwing her mother under the bus, if need be.. I don’t think she considers anyone her own now. It was good to see Zainab squirm and worry if she might be exposed..

I noticed there was a lack of warmth when miajaan addresses kainaat in the episode post her confrontation with miajaan in the presence of family.

It’s also weird that Rubina and nadeem were not really bothered that their daughter was being blackmailed by another family member. Or may be the next episode would shed light on this.

I am sure that they will redeem Kainaat's character by the time the show ends but a person who can put their mother in the line of fire to achieve their goals is beyond redemption for me. Kainaat has opened a can of worms by telling everyone that Sultanat is not refusing Zaroon willingly but is being forced to do it. Too many people know this secret for it to remain hidden for a long. And Kainaat knows this but she doesn't care.

Kainaat's goal also became clear - Zaroon is not her goal, making Sultanat suffer is her ultimate aim.

I am also bored with Zaroon pestering Sultanat but today felt bad for Zaroon when he asks Sultanat to confess her love after Kainaat's elaborate drama of wishing Eid to Sultanat and about moving on. Sutlanat was unnecessarily cold.

I can't understand Sultanat anymore. The oath has no meaning when Kainaat is screaming from rooftops that she is moving on. If Sultanat really wants to get out of the way, she needs to leave on a 3-month cruise around the globe and take Neelam with her. Yes - she did say that line Kainaat ki aakhon and stuff. Can someone tell her - aankhon mein wohi dikhta hai jo tum dekhna chahate ho - Only way to know about someone else is their words and actions.

this is a different show - two of the most unlikable characters - Kainaat and Zaroon - are holding the story together and moving it forward. The audience knows more about them - who they are, what they want, how they act - than anyone else. Sultanat is the formal lead but she has no story arc, no motivation. Maybe this is why it is losing the TRP race.

Hello hammie, helooo there mate,

I am almost at the end of my tether. Zaroon-sultanat are stuck in this phase for long.

this me dearie, is their Sufiyana pyar.. "much ado about nothing!"

I think it’s time , sultanat is freed from her promise and she confesses and they move on. I genuinely do hope, they don’t still continue to have Zainab plead for kainaat’s case in front of sultanat just to have some conflict in saroon story. Sultanat and zaroon are supposedly the lead pair and they seem to have a weak conflict in their story to keep them going and expect viewers to invest in their story.

yes the whole world knows she fancies zaroon.. yet he wants her to shout it before him! If creatives, want conflict, then why not get those two love birds married.. Zaroon opts to live in India, and earns a humble living and takes Saltanat off to a simple dwelling ,she is unaccustomed to.. Rubina can kick up a fuss.. that Zaroon will be a ghar jamai..like Jaan Mohammed ..There can be plenty of fireworks!

Kainat wouldn’t really mind throwing her mother under the bus, if need be.. I don’t think she considers anyone her own now. It was good to see Zainab squirm and worry if she might be exposed.

well, it's not that Zainab didn't ask for it! as the mz.know it all older bahu , I am surprised she didn't cover her back, if her demands of Saltanat back fired.. mind you what she certainly didn't expect is her own daughter landing her in trouble! Still this mother daughter mess is more interesting to watch than Saroon's broken record of kaho na pyar hai! [rolling my eyes]

I noticed there was a lack of warmth when miajaan addresses kainaat in the episode post her confrontation with miajaan in the presence of family.

Yes , Kianat has been very clearly replaced by the smart duo Saroon.. all can see it too..

It’s also weird that Rubina and nadeem were not really bothered that their daughter was being blackmailed by another family member. Or may be the next episode would shed light on this.

they weren't bothered, as long as the propaganda is to do with their daughter being spoken for Zaroon.. besides all have accepted saroon's alliance..

listen Lonelythots.. lets follow the show till the end,,lets watch loose ends tied up.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts,, love hammie

well, looks like the sufiyana love formula is beginning to sag, henceforth the element of showing Kainat beyond redemption is being flagged.. Out of Zainab's plea to Saltanat, will probably come out the fact that the two cousins are in actual fact real sisters!Maybe this weakness in Zainab might be her downfall..but later on her rise as well, that she gave her own child to Nadeem and Rubina...May be turning out to be blood sisters bring about a change of heart in Kainat too? and she herself may give up Zaroon to Saltanat ...as she sees no love in his eyes for herself..

Kainaat's goal also became clear - Zaroon is not her goal, making Sultanat suffer is her ultimate aim.

she has clearly got it against her cousin.

I am also bored with Zaroon pestering Sultanat but today felt bad for Zaroon when he asks Sultanat to confess her love after Kainaat's elaborate drama of wishing Eid to Sultanat and about moving on. Sutlanat was unnecessarily cold.

its this frigidity that keeps their love chugging along!

haaaaaaahaaaa… oh what a glorious idea, the way me is feeling now about the show.. I need to take a short cruise around the Med! and throw Neelam over board! Neelam I feel has the hawwts for Zaroon!

this is a different show - two of the most unlikable characters - Kainaat and Zaroon - are holding the story together and moving it forward. well put Irshita.. the show will progress if the two undesirables are put together.. for a change, than perhaps Saltanat may end up having something to do! as for TRP.... remains static! probably means their are people somewhere still watching the show! Like I said else where, I still want to see how the show ends. who gets the dargah and who gets the girl? rather which girl??

stay firm, and continue watching the show.. tonight should be fun.. Eid celebrations! I can smell delicious food.. and mouth watering seewayian!

love hammie

Hi Hammie. Been very busy with personal life but glad to be back.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot hate Kainat. I don't agree with what she is doing but I absolutely love her character. It is almost as if she is taking revenge from everyone that has trampled her since childhood. Zainab made her into a doormat when she clearly has a voice of her own. She saw Saltanat getting love from everyone even when she disobeyed her parents so K's resentment is understandable but misguided. If I was in K's place then I may also hold resentment for a sister who has had everything since childhood and I was rejected at every single point. K can be just as modern as S but her family never gave her a chance so she does blame them for Zaroon's rejection. She is throwing everyone under the bus for her upbringing. Also, how easy is it for MJ to be rude to Kainat after she openly confronted him in front of the family? Does anyone in that house love K unconditionally, except her own mother? If they don't see her as their own then why should she?

If we pay close attention to K's dialogue, she does want Zaroon BUT she wants to make Saltanat suffer more than she wants Zaroon. Kainat's love is not sufiyana but Zaroon's love is also not sufiyana. If Saltanat can be so easily manipulated to break the heart of the man she loves repeatedly then that is also not sufiyana love. Makers have still NOT answered if Zaroon loves S for her beauty.

Neelam is also another interesting character. Why is she going to such lengths to unite SaRoon? Why does she want to be in their good books so badly? I really don't like how she interferes in SaRoon matters. She needs to stop with the constant reminder to Zaroon that S loves him. She keeps him motivated to keep pursuing S but it always ends in heartbreak. I cannot believe that she would much rather see her own brother in a loveless marriage than see Zaroon in one. Neelam might be a good friend/cousin but she is a terrible sister.

The reason I think KaRoon is a better pair is they are both extremely flawed and selfish. Both of them are forcing their love on someone who is openly rejecting them. Both have no self-respect. The opportunity is there for them to grow together. Their story will be so much more interesting compared to SaRoon. SaRoon are just plain boring. They have no story expect the virasat. More importantly, Saltanat is beyond annoying. She always presents herself to have the moral high ground but she is very wrong in the way that she is playing with Zaroon. K has made it abundantly clear to S to leave her alone and she is marrying Hamza by her wish then why can't S just leave everything? She can go to Zainab and tell her K's wish and release herself from the kasam. Why is she so hesitant to accept Zaroon? Is it because he came for Kainat and she doesn't want K's reject? Everyone knows S has feelings for Zaroon but she refuses to acknowledge it in public. Her love is so weak that she cannot even stand up for it.

K's plan is being kept in suspense. Is her plan just to be in the good books of Zaroon? On marriage day, Hamza might mysteriously disappear and Zaroon might blame himself for rejecting such a nice girl and had her get rejected a second time by a guy that he selected. The guilt might lead him to marry her. Who knows?

The next couple weeks are crucial for SPM. Who marries who will ultimately decide how much of the audience they will lose/keep/gain. TRP was low from the start. Even if it is SaRoon endgame, I don't see TRP rising above 0.5. If it is KaRoon endgame, TRP will still be stable around 0.5. I don't think viewership can dip below 0.4 for a big name like Helly Shah. The makers just did a really bad job with the show. Their biggest mistake was naming the show "Sufiyana Pyaar Mera" and showed no Sufiyana Pyaar. TRP audience and social media audience are very different. I hope makers realize that and write wisely.

heloooooo Arshian😃 and great to have you back.. missed your input

well pointed out.. I think I mentioned sibling rivalry and even cousins friction is not unheard off.. I feel the carers are as much to blame .. there was an imbalance in how both were brought up. pity both were brought up as two separate entities, which is fair enough ,for both K and S are two different personalities in their own right. Z's arrival has brought conflict between K and S, more so in K. Regards the story line, I think we are getting a flavour of the cold war between Kand S .. all due to Zaroon.. as audience we need to move towards seeing common ground between the cousins! and I mean other than Zaroon!

Makers have still NOT answered if Zaroon loves S for her beauty.

you said it mate.. Kainat's love due to past incidents with S is now Spiteful love, as for Zaroon, his love I always found as agenda based.. full of tackles and wielding some Selfish love.. Saltanat's love is all about showing him that she is no easy option for him and thus not to taken for granted love!

Neelam is also another interesting character. Why is she going to such lengths to unite SaRoon? Why does she want to be in their good books so badly? I really don't like how she interferes in SaRoon matters. She needs to stop with the constant reminder to Zaroon that S loves him. Neelam might be a good friend/cousin but she is a terrible sister.

I always said that Neelam too fancies Zaroon.. yes I agree about the lousy sister bit

Everyone knows S has feelings for Zaroon but she refuses to acknowledge it in public. Her love is so weak that she cannot even stand up for it.

this is a brilliant explanation... I too would love to see K and Z paired.... most unlikely yet alike pair ,in their motives and drives

Who knows?

bravo! Arshian… hope the creatives are reading your thoughts.. no dearth of good ideas.. hope they use some!if they do we'll know where they got it from

The next couple weeks are crucial for SPM. Who marries who will ultimately decide how much of the audience they will lose/keep/gain. TRP was low from the start. yes I agree, Helly is certainly the life of the show, especially as Kianat… I also agree about the glitch CVs made about the name.. far from love a oneness, a communion between the souls

Arshian ,indeed a real treat to go through your thought provoking comment... hammie hopes to hear from you again, love hammie
