I just loved it , it was so intense and emotional . This will actually be hard for mishti . A thread is broken . Now whenever she will face ruhaan she would have to fight with herself for herself . Chapter-16

Ruhaan didn't know what to do now, how to make amends. The mere thought of her leaving this place forever, leaving him forever was killing him, yes killing him!! His heart was racing erratically. What ave I done!! He cursed himself over and over for the blunder he had made, but just cursing himself wasn't enough.

How would she forgive him, when he himself couldn't do that? But he cannot just sit here and see her walk away, can he? He had to do something, anything! He stood from his leather chair and walked out of the cabin with determined strides, but all his determination vanished as soon as he reached her office door, it was ajar, with great courage he pushed it open. She was nowhere to be found, he even knocked on the washroom door, but it was locked from outside. Did this mean.....No!! He didn't want to entertain the possibility that she'd left for ever, instead he convinced himself that she'd just taken the day off. Yes, she's taken the day off, that must be it.

He went back in his office and looked at his watch, it read quarter past eleven, so it had been two hours since their row. Two hours since her hand made contact with his cheek and he was forced to see stars in clear daylight, damn, she hit hard! He thought amusingly. His cheek was still throbbing and his lower lip was split and swollen on the corner. He rubbed his cheek with his hand and thought how many more blows were to come. He supposed, he should be grateful she didn't hit him in the balls, now that would've been really painful!

Suddenly an idea hit him, childish though it was, he still wanted to try it. He called the gemmy gem Pam Veer into his office, gemmy gem Pam? He didn't know how the hell this name popped up in his mind but he supposed it must be something to do with his too sugary and too gemmy image, well, whatever..!

The guy came, his toothy smile plastered all over his face, for some vague reason Ruhaan wanted to break his nose, weird! He asked the gemmy boy to give him Mishti's address, gemmy asked why did he want it, Ruhaan glared at him, gemmy gulped and fled after apologizing ten times, which irritated Ruhaan even more!

Mishti was making herself some coffee to calm down a little, her head was splitting with this excruciating headache, she'd taken two aspirin as soon as she reached home, but the meds were still to kick in. She was making her way to the kitchen when she heard the doorbell ring. Well, bugger!! She went to open the door instead. Out, standing was the man himself, who shall be called Satan for the generations to come! Before he could open his dirty mouth and spat some more venom, she started to shut the door and she did, only to realize that he had put his hand there and she shut the door with his hand on it! She instantly opened it but the damage was done, his hand was badly bruised and bleeding! F**k......!!!

"Shit! I'm so sorry" she took his hand to examin it....and it looked worse, up close. Tears were rolling down her cheek and she kept saying sorry again and again. Her tears were hurting him more than his literally bloody hand, he tried to enlighten her mood

"Well, now that the blood debt has been paid, at least invite me in, will you?" He tried to smile but could only manage a grimace, as the pain kicked in after the initial shock and the literally bloody hand started paining, literally! And his poor attempt of bringing out harry potter joke didn't work either, if anything, it backfired and she started crying even more! For god sake he was the man with a literally bloody hand!! what the heck she was crying for? He started to ask her the same question then shut his mouth, what if the blood debt wasn't paid fully, yet? She'd bloodied his lip and hand, but a lot of parts were still intact and unbloodied, unbloodied? Is that even a word? Well, who cares!! What he did care, was the fact that he was still outside and she still hadn't invited him in!!

"Mishti, calm down I'm fine, I really am.....now please can we go inside?" He asked with difficulty, the blinding pain was making him dizzy, but thank heaven for little mercies, she led him inside and closed the door. Before he could open his mouth to say something she ran inside the house leaving him there to find a place to sit, which was a tough task as every place available to sit was either occupied by some pile of clothes, or books, or snacks or....what the f**k was that? He took the object of his intrigue and examined it....it was a divice of some sorts.....there was a wire attached to it....his curiosity got the better of him and he plugged it in the socket, to see what exactly did it do.....

"What are you doing with my hair straightener?" He hastily put it down and turned to face her, she was holding a tray and the content in the tray were, a bowl full of water, detoll, cotton, and dressing. She came towards him and ordered him to sit there, and where exactly was 'there' he didn't know, so he just shrugged helplessly.

"Oh for god sake just sit anywhere! Those are just clothes, they won't burn your pretty backside if you sit on them!" She said exasperated. Well, technically she was right, they won't burn, but....damn if he wanted to aggravate her any more, so he just sat on a sofa? He supposed it was a sofa, since he couldn't really see it. It was veiled like a new bride, only with old clothes!

She came to kneel between his leg and took his hand and gently, so gently started cleaning the blood, all the while blowing on it to sooth the pain. And sooth it did, for he almost forgot that she was tending to his wounds....instead he just kept looking at her, mesmerized by her beauty. He was so hypnotized in that moment that even if she killed him, he wouldn't know.

She applied betadine on his wound and did the dressing perfectly. When she was satisfy with the work, she gave him some pain killers, he denied but she glared at him and he took them like a scared baby. She went in the kitchen again and this time came with two large cups of coffee. She took one herself and put the other one on the table in front of him, he didn't really want to have coffee right now, Scotch would've been his beverage of choice but he wisely kept his mouth shut and started sipping the coffee.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you" she said after some time. He felt like someone has ripped his heart apart..... After everything HE did to hurt her, SHE was saying sorry? And for what, this petty bruises? Which will heal in no time!! But will her heart ever heal from the wounds he had inflected on it? His throat choked up with the welling emotions and he managed with difficulty...

" please don't say sorry, it's killing me!" This time he came to her and kneeled down, he took her hand in his, and she flinched and he got the cruel reminder that she loathed him now! His touch was making her flinch! He wanted to kill himself. He barely controlled his wrath which was directed at himself

"Mishti, I know I have hurt you beyond redemption now! I know you can never forgive me, I can never forgive myself either! But please don't leave me....kill me, but don't leave me! I've never begged in my life, but I'm begging you now, please don't leave me. Let me redeem, give me this chance to redeem myself, please!" He bowed his head down and she saw a lone tear drop from his eyes, her heart went out to this man, this man, she loved with all her heart, this man who was willingly compromising his self respect for a commoner like her, how could she deny him? How could she ever deny him? She can't forgive what he did, but she can forget, right?

"Okay" she said "but I have one condition, you'll never make a pass at me or seduce me and will maintain the professional decorum"

"I agree" he complied, he'd have given his life if she'd put that condition, as for professional decorum.... Well, we'll see, he thought mischievously.

Vratu loved the update, that gemmy pam part craked me up. So now mishti has asked ruhaan to keep professional decorum, which i feel he wont be able to keep and will tease her. It reminded me of k drama suspicious partner where a guy initially rejects girl then when guy proposes she rejects and guy tells her he will wait for her answer, then he find excuses to come close to her .

Vratu i have a suggestion if you dont mind. I feel now god should start talking to Ruhaan bcz mishti mattered to god and now ruhaan matters to mishti . It will add fun element how god will be intially pissed off with ruhaan but then slowly slowly he will give if ideas to come close to mishti , then ruhaan exactly like mishti will blame god when his plan will fail, then god will saying him how both are alike.
