Satan's Secretary Chapter-1
"Why God why?? Why did you mess up with my alarm clock?" (The said alarm clock showed the same time it did yesterday...or a week before yesterday for that matter) Of course the God didn't say anything to this because what was the point? She wouldn't listen anyway. The nerve of this girl...ha!!"I mean I know I should've changed the batteries a long time ago, but the least you could've done was remind me!" Continued the irritated Mishti.
"Or you could've set the alarm on your mobile" the God couldn't help himself pointing that out.
" ha! Now you're talking huh? Well stop it with your know it all attitude okay? It isn't helping me in the least!"
The God obliged, for there's no arguing with this girl.
"Okay, calm down Mish, you can do this, take a deep breath".Mishti silently counted to ten and eventually started feeling a little better, and she hurriedly went to the washroom.
After 20 minutes she was all ready for her interview... If only she caught the bus on time then everything will be alright, but alas! She was out of luck again cause by the time she reached the station the bus had already left!
"Seriously God? Garibi me aanta gila?" Whined Mishti, now she'll have to take a cab and she was already short of cash. She needed this job very VERY badly. She had to pay her room rent, her electricity bill, well almost all her bills were overdue...if only she had controlled her temper that day then she wouldn't be in this predicament!
"But I had to speak for Ellina!" Mishti argued to herself. The said Ellina was her colleague from her old office, who was seven months pregnant and thir jerk of a boss wouldn't give her the day off when she suddenly got sick, and Mishti being Mishti ended up having a huge row with her boss and in the process got herself fired.
"At least I got her the day off! Was the only solace Mishti could provide herself.
After 20 minutes of waiting she finally got the cab and told the driver the address she wanted to go to.
"Please God let them give this job to me, please" prayed Mishti. "I'll never blame you for my mistakes again, I promise" bargained Mishti.
"That Mishti I DO NOT BELIEVE" replied God wisely ( he had encountered such promises before and he knew she was NOT TO BE BELIEVED) and having said that the god didn't bother listening to her anymore( he has other imp things to do after all!)
Mishti had seen this job's advertisement in the newspaper, RAJVANSHI AND SONS needed a Secretary who was fluent in French and Mishti Being a linguistic major was fluent in many languages and French was one of them. At last she reached her destination, paid the driver and went inside the building. She reached the reception area and gave the receptionist her details.
"You're late" was the first response the receptionist gave Mishti. "I know, I'm so sorry. Can you please arrange my interview now? I'd really appreciate it" said Mishti with her amazingly charming smile.
The receptionist who was around Mishti's age blushed and said he'll try.
After talking to the boss for what seemed like an eternity to Mishti, he beamed and told Mishti "you're in luck Miss khanna, seemes like the other candidates played a bluff when they said they were fluent in French, although the boss is in sour mood right now...so...I wouldn't be too hopeful for the job if I were you".
Mishti paled a little after hearing this...who wouldn't? Somehow she managed to give a nervous smile to the cute receptionist and went ahead to confront the SATAN also known as Ruhan Rajvanshi, the owner of RAJVANSHI AND SONS.
SO guys this is it...my first ever fan fic please read this and lemme know how you like it and also ignore the typos...I'm not very good at it
