And why did he think, that Prerna's feelings for him were so shallow that she can easily move on.I mean she just lost her dad,she didn't need to be mocked and ridiculed in front of hundreds of people by the person she loves the most.

On the other hand,if he had confided in her and like u say,she would asked him to marry Komolika at least she would have been spared the feeling of being used by him and belittled by him.The knowledge that he loved her would have at least given her some peace of mind.

That shows how much he doesn't know her.He didn't just choose Komolika over her.He slept with her and then publicly questioned her character.He could've told her told her that he chose Komolika over her in private.If Nivi hadn't told her of this engagement,God knows when he would've told her of it?!

Knowing that how conservative Prerna is(she did try to stop him at the time of consummation) and her background he still thought assassinating her character was a better option that telling her the truth and breaking up with her?! Even if we forget that he made a decision about her and her family without even informing her was pretty awful too.

When Komolika had returned the house papers if Shivi hadn't made the deal,his sacrifice would've been for nothing.Its still for nothing since the original papers r still with Komolika and she was planning to throw them out had she not been distracted by Moloy
