Do you think Nepotism will ruin BW?

It's not new by any means but do you think the constant release of big films being helmed mostly by star kids will ruin Bollywood? If so, why? If not, why?

Personally I don't think it will ruin it because there will always be crappy films regardless of who's in it, but, I would like to see more films with non star kids too. Or outsiders promoted as heavily as them.

top 6 stars in the country of last 20 years: Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar.
Four of them are insiders, didn't effect the industry at all.
So all this nepotism hysteria is the new cool thing.

yes.,

it has ruined bollywood.

We no longer are seeing raw talent from outsiders..

we are seeing film kids having posh accent trying to act the role of common man and failing bad..

Its really sad.

Still so many people go to mumbai in the hopes of getting film career and ending up getting nothing even tho they deserve.

@bold that's what I mean. Every generation since forever has insiders. But I do tend to want to see more outsiders. But yeah, I don't think it's ruining anything per say.

If anyone is ruining BW that would be outsiders like kangana with their constant rants on insiders..brainwashing the people abt nepo kids as it never existed anywhere...otherwise nepotism is not new in industry...since the olden days it is there and audience are fine with it..dont underestimate the audience ..they accepts the ones ,who they are connected to..and rejects the ones ,who annoys them even if it is outsider like kangana,who bagged NA god knows how...

it takes time to make stars though, especially outsiders.
Last year itself we had three young outsiders giving 100 crores movie, so it is not like it is a doom for outsiders.
Some people click, some don't.

Thing ruining Bollywood is lack of authenticity and skewed appreciation of only actors.

Writers, lyricists and cinematographers are not given due credit and recoginition for their hard work. Probably that's the reason they also just started copy pasting from outside. Kinda egg-chicken situation.

Yes... the biggest product of Nepotism that has single handedly ruined BW is Kjo.

As long as outsiders with acting courses or theatre experience keep getting casting couched

And only model outsiders are given chance who are wooden

And by pointing at wooden models saying hey look even outsiders cannot act insiders are much better

And hence insiders score brownie points

So you think people like Abhishek deserved multiple chances?

What about Suraj, Athiya, Arjun, Uday, Jacky Bhagnani, Sonam, Jhanvi, etc deserved the big debuts they got? They wouldn't have made through a single audition if not nepotism. I don't have problem with talented star kid's but also I don't want mediocrity served upon us.
