More than nepotism its the business mindset of BW that's ruining it. Creativity has thrown out of the window.

People get excited over a star kids debut and would rather watch Srk's son's debut than an outsiders debut unless the content is REALLY good

You are comparing SRK with Aloo baby? SRK had to prove his talent to caught YRF eyes unlike Aloo baby that got everything from day 1 because of her sugar daddy KJo. She debuted on his movie and after that, she kept doing his banner big budget movies. SRK struggled for a year to caught YRF attention. He did movies like Deewana, Chamatkar and few other movies before he worked with YRF. He also did popular TV shows before he debuted in BW. He was praised the most on his debut movie Deewana even when he was doing the second lead with Rishi Kapoor. YRF didn't know SRK before he entered in BW but KJo probably knew Aloo baby after she was born. How many movies SRK even did with YRF? Like 7-8 movies over the last 30 years while Aloo baby did 5-6 movies of KJo over the last 7 years. He also recommended Aloo baby to other producers but YRF didn't recommend SRK to other producers. I never supported Sid M either. He is probably KJo's one of the gay partner and he gets work by doing sexually satisfying KJo, which casting couch. KJo wouldn't give anyone work without getting any benefit. He either gets money by launching star kids or the outsiders have to satisfy him to get work. Unfortunately, he is gay. So he won't do that to girls, which is why he kept casting his adopted daughter Aloo baby and his friends kids Jhanvi and Sara. He casted SRK on his movies to establish himself. When he casted SRK on his movies, he was nobody while SRK was a big star. He became famous because of SRK-Kajol pair. Without them, he would've been nobody today. So he got the most benefit by keep casting SRK on his movies.

Nepotism could have ruined BW but it is no more a case since stars don't matter as much as the story, narration and the acting. But it definitely ruins chances of outsiders though and the potential of actors whom we may be missing due to the lobbying, pushing and nepotism. So more than BW, it is loss of people and people alone.

The biggest drawback of nepotism is that untalented people get work in Bollywood. In this digital age, Bollywood will definitely suffer as people can get better content online. Films like Sairat and Baahubali - The Beginning, KGF doing such remarkable business is showing that people are slowing shifting their attention elsewhere. The craze for Avengers is next level. I doubt Bollywood will ever witness this unless they bring talent in all spheres.

well when more importance is given to money making than creativity then end product always suffers.
