It was obvious that Alia had a crush on Sid during SOTY2 promotions. I doubt anything happened during HSKD as she was wearing Natasha's design during its promotions. Also KJo talked about a crush on the set of SOTY that turned into a relationship (Sid n Alia) and he said this last year when Alia and Ranbir were out in the open.

This new crush declaration is nothing more than a marketing ploy. No matter what neither wants to lose the varia fan base.

What's ironic is that in the last segment when they had to name the shirtless guys she recognized Sid's body right away and yelled Sid Sid Sid 😆. Her competitiveness took over and she forgot her fakeness plans
