Well KJo has said how he feels very "responsible" towards history and won't tamper with it. He said that this is not a fictional story but a real one so he will tell it as it is... let's wait and watch, you can't trust him 😆

I do not trust KJo with period dramas. He couldn't get the partition era right which is less than a century away and also well documented. How is he supposed to bring alive the late medieval period? 😕

Moreover, his signature melodrama and songs in a Mughal setting would be ridiculously nauseating.

I completely agree. He's saying that this is the K3G of the Mughal era, which is possibly the worst comparison to make 😆

The level of melodrama in that film was definitely nauseating, I hope he doesn't replicate it here.

What do you think about the cast though?

The Male cast is convincing and I'm glad that RS is playing the scholar heir-apparent Dara Shukoh. Militant Aurangzeb would have looked a repeat of Alauddin Khilji. Coming to the female cast, I feel Alia's looks could harm her case. Janhvi Kapoor is a major miscast. Kareena is okay.

True, Alia looks like a kid and that's my biggest problem with her. She'll look even more like a kid in those heavy costumes. She has to gain some weight for this in order to look convincing.

Janhvi is definitely a major miscast 🤢 How can she seduce someone with her beauty when she's just average looking? Won't look believable at all.

Umm if KJO wanted to cast sara he would have as with kareena in the film already he could get good mileage with both of them promoting together. The reason he may not have is because Janhvi's role is that of a dancer(courtesean) and hence he needed a good dancer between sara and janhvi. As for aditi he could have chosen her but janhvi or sara will get him more hype than aditi.
