AFSHAN ABBAS PUBLISHED A DAY AGO
Our drama industry has lately been focusing on producing plays that challenge stereotypes and taboos prevalent in our society for a long time now. HUM TV's upcoming serial Choti Choti Baatain also seems to be making a commendable effort on these lines. The makers have revealed a small teaser of the play starring Ayesha Omar, Sara Khan, Bushra Ansari, Zahid Ahmed, Yumna Zaidi and Shehzad Sheikh.

In the first part of the star-studded teaser, each actor talks about a different stereotype such as husband making food at home while his wife is at work, old women wearing bright colors, guys always taking the lead to propose girls and not vice versa, younger sister getting married before the elder one etc. While in the second part of the teaser, the same actors counter these stereotypes with logic. The teaser ends with Zahid Ahmed and Yumna calling out to each other Baat Choti Si Hai... Dil Bara Kijiye' and hence making the audience understand that all these issues are very petty and must be let go of instead of creating a havoc over them.

Directed by Angeline Malik, the play aims to make the society understand that instead of creating issues over petty stereotypes, we should get over them and let people live the way they want to. In short, the play aim for the message Live and Let Live'

Produced by MD Productions in collaboration with Angelic Films, Choti Choti Baatain seems to be a series of episodes, each focusing on a different stereotype and how it should be challenged. With the drama featuring an ensemble cast and being directed by our favorite Angeline Malik, we are surely looking forward to Choti Choti Baatain. What about you?

It is hard to get too many actors avialable to work for a drama. dates, financials and role length ..it is tough !

I don't know if any writer can do this, coz he/she needs to find relationships between some of the characters , relatives , friends and so. trying to tie characters from 15 or 20 stories togather seems impossible fir me .😆
