So I think the main point of criticism he receives is that he mostly plays similar kind of roles,that his roles in wake up sid,yjhd and tamasha have been similar where he had this journey of 'discovering or finding himself'.How is this true for yjhd?In yjhd,his character already knew what he wanted to do in life,he was sure and determined enough to leave his friends and father behind for his dreams.
May be it is true for wake up sid and tamasha but wasn't ved's situation a lot more complex than sidharth's was?Yes,sid hadn't 'found' himself but he was nowhere as stifled or repressed as ved was.Wouldn't ved have been a more complex role for RK than sid must have been?
I don't see the similarity between barfi and jordan either.
I am sorry,I don't mean to say that people aren't entitled to their opinions.I was just wondering if people who make this point of criticism can elaborate more on this? I saw tamasha yesterday and am wondering how ved's life/situation/environment/upbringing was similar to sid's or bunny's.
