Can people change? DO people change. Maybe the makers want to showcase the redemption angle with Mauli and Kunal ending (if it goes that way).

But just generally how tightly should we hold on to peoples past behavior. Do we have the potential to evolve and become a better version of ourselves.

If these are the themes makers were exploring they should not have rushed the track so quickly, when they/gajra knew they don't have much time left before the series end.

This rushed memory loss angle in which if Mauli conviniently ends up with Kunal will be unfair to ALL characters and specially to us viewers. Denied of a proper end after digesting the whole Nandini crap angle. Atleast itna suffering ke baad ek proper end toh dete!

Kunal can change and repent no doubt.

But that does't mean he is entitled to Mauli's forgiveness or that her forgiveness should equate to her wanting to reunite with him.

Bingo . The moment I stopped watching the show was when Mauli aplogized to Kunal for hiding her pregnancy and Kunal was like ya ok. 😆 didn't even acknowledge his mistake. Since then I knew they will never redeem Kunal since as per them Kunal was never wrong. Hence I can't stand Maunal now. And I am almost sure of a manual ending with a memory loss Kunal as only a memory loss Kunal can love Mauli. Which is quite sickening.

This memory loss Kunal is an illusion...he's not real ...so change or redemption does not feature in this track.,and the show is almost at the end so there's highly unlikely going to be any redemption or change track. Because they have cleared it up already before Kunal lost his memory. He said he was right in going after nandu and leaving Mauli ..he said he went after his saccha pyaar, so that's it. Kunal will not regret or repent becAuse he truly loved nandu..he said it. And yes Mauli, will forgive Kunal, and move on with Ishaan ..that's what she is doing now..she's not forgotten about kunals betrayal but she has probably forgiven him and probably accepted that he loved nandu...and she's planning on starting her new marriage with Ishaan..she is engaged to Ishaan .

Ritz if she did STILL have feelings for him and if its mutual (in Kunals hoshoawas) without the ML angle. AND if they had a proper courtship and heart to heart period with each other (where they both discuss and disect each others feeling, past behavior patterns, future expectations etc) I would be willing to accept it. I am not a subscriber to belief that Mauli would be weak character if she decides to forgive as I somewhere do believe people can aspire and eventually grow and become better. BUT its the way its done it has to be very delicately handled and not feel rushed. It has to feel JUSTIFIED and DESERVED

If Mauli gives in that situation then I would be ok. Because end of the day Mauli will be choosing Kunal for her OWN happiness. Its a selfish decision. And I for once would LOVE Mauli to put herself FIRST. Its fine if she backs away from Ishaan. I dont want to get in out of feeling guilty. She has done the RIGHT thing her whole entire life and put others needs over her own.

My problem is not so much her backing away from Ishaan as it is NOT clearing things with Kunal and just rushing into things with him again. The makers should keep the ending open ended. Because Mauli and Kunal need to be built up more they need many many heart to heart sessions before they can end up together.

@ Sunshine completely agree with you. My other problem with Maunal is that Kunal didn't have to work hard to gain Mauli's love again. He just got it on a platter. I mean what does a guy have to do to make a girl fall out of love with him? Cheat, lie, humiliate , insult other than physical abuse Kunal has done everything a terrible husband would but Mauli still loves him. I need to understand why? Is Mauli the kind of woman who will love her husband no matter how terrible he is? If yes then I definitely didn't see her like that. If no then why does she still have feelings for him? And because of those feelings Kunal didn't even have to work hard to prove himself worthy of Mauli's love again. Hence I just at can't stomach Maunal like that.

That is exactly my point. Assuming Mauli still has feelings for Kunal and they have a heart to heart, why does that necessarily mean they must reunite?

Why can't she have feelings for him, and forgive him, and they have a heart to heart, but still she realizes she can't ever trust him, it can't ever be the same, so she doesn't want to be with him.

Mutual feelings, mutual healing, doesn't mean she wants to get back with him.

But, I do agree with you, there is a possibility that they can make a reunion understandable. Not agreeable, many (in fact a majority) will not agree, but they can make it understandable, as understanding and agreeing are two different things.

As far as an open ending, I think that ship has sailed, because Mauli made her decision yesterday. Whatever it was propelled by is to be shown/announced, but she chose Ishaan yesterday. It doesn't get more close ended than that. Let's see what happens in the future episodes now. Will all our questions get answered, will the storyline get better, or will it just be the sheer disappointment and mystery/suspense thriller that we have been getting.

Have more faith in Mauli. She is emotional but just as reasonable and sensible. When she loves, it is with all her heart, soul, and every fiber of her being. She has a soft heart and wears it on her sleeve. This is her character sketch.

Some of us may not be able to agree with her, but we can't say we don't understand her. Kunal was her first love, she loved him madly. We all have had some broken relationship in our life, or a moment where we have wished something can go back to the way it is, or that the past can be erased or a bad dream.

That is how she was yesterday, but good on her for realizing it. If she wanted, after Kunal's dialogues about her being his heartbeat or Dida's gyaan, she could have easily decided in Kunal's favor, but she did quite the opposite.

The fact of the matter is, Kunal will always hold a place in Mauli's heart. He was her first love, husband, and the father of her child. She will always love him and care for him, but it's transition from a romantic love to non-romantic love is what is left to be seen.

And she laid the bricks for that yesterday. Whatever compelled her to choose Ishaan, we are yet to be shown, but she chose him, and that itself is proof that she isn't some emotional fool.
