Today's episode has left me furious.
Furious and also helpless.
Helpless because I see Nayi Soch pioneers Star Plus promoting violence and torture of women and getting away with it. Helpless because I don't understand how to change it.
Guys, today's episode involved everyone and their Biji insulting and defaming not only Happy but also her mother. The worst part of it was how Biji, a woman teamed up with Rocky to destroy Happy.
Rocky, you see, is the textbook misogynist. He only respects women who happen to be related to him and/or are 'good' according to his standards.
The rest, like 'tum jaisi ladkiyan' wali Happy or her mother and sister are not even worthy of humanity, forget respect and dignity.
What triggered me most was how at the end, Rocky says he is not done with Mission 'Make Happy Unhappy'. Why, you ask? Oh because she had the gall to ask Biji why she was lying and said that homes where women like Biji are mothers will give birth to men like Rocky.
Rocky can do whatever the f**k he wants to 'girls like Happy' but God forbid anyone say anything about the women in his family. For misogynists like Rocky, a woman is unworthy of respect unless she comes with honorifics like Maa, Biji, Didi, Behen attached to them. Men like him see every woman not related to him as fair play.
We have to stop this. It is unbearable.
