Hello everyone!
All of us have been in uproar about the way this show has been promoting violence and torture of women.

Well, I decided to follow up the talk with some action.

I have filed a complaint against this show with the Indian Broadcasting Federation. I would request you all to do the same.

To make it easier to complain, here is the link to the complaint form-

Please note, that the episodes in question are the ones aired on 6 and 7 February.

Also, have created a petition on Change.org so this can reach more people.

Here is the link to the petition.

Please sign and share this with as many people as possible!

Hi,
Can I suggest something? This is a good initiative but in my perspective, there is no point asking to ban this show. Because this isn't and won't be the first and last show to portray and romanticise violence against female lead. Even if this show goes off air, there may still be another similar show in the future. Instead of asking to ban show, can we broaden the scope of this petition and request for the Indian Broadcasting Federation to implement stricter regulations on ITV against regressive content such as promoting violence against woman, children abuse, superstitions etc? This would help to rid ITV of its evils in the long-term and this intervention is greatly needed.

Excellent suggestion. Perhaps this show can be used as an example of the regressive and distressing content that the family audience that indian tv targets are being exposed to every night. How on earth do the indian broadcasting bodies allow shit like this to be shown on every show in the name of family drama and romance? If it is a story of domestic violence or sex crime against women, that's different, but here emotional and physical harassment/ torture is shown on the main female protagonists in every single one of the indian serials just to create drama. It's disturbing to know family's sit down with children seeing women in every bloody serial being treated like this.

Is there no censorship of tv shows? I remember once in Qubool Hai there was a very violent scene that caused an uproar. I don't remember the scene so much now but it was part of season 1 and it was a very gruesome scene. (too violent) I don't remember what was done but there was warning on that scene. Maybe it was burial of an alive body of a girl.
